"Oh poor you!" was literally what his mother used to say to him whenever he called her out on her emotional abuse. The second Gloria said that, he had a lightbulb moment.

The scene with Tony and Ralphie was great. Game of chess. Both trying to keep their hands clean from killing Jackie trying to pawn it on the other very subtle.

While rewatching this with you, I was thinking the same thing. I love the ending of this episode and it's definitely a great episode and one of the more underrated episodes of the series. I love the Bob Dylan cover of "Return To Me." The whole scene makes me feel bad for Gloria, however. These guys all have someone to go home to, and she, as crazy and annoying as she is, is ultimately alone. As for Ralphie, oh my... I bet he's replaying Tony's words in his head over and over again that he told him in the previous eps when he got the "good news" about being promoted to Captain... *Tony* "Well you know what they say: "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it"

I love what this actress (Edie Falco) brought to this role. If you are interested in seeing her in an entirely different role, you should see NURSE JACKIE. This was another great series.

I was gonna recommend Nurse Jackie as well, especially if you or anyone close to you has dealt with drugs or alcohol abuse!

Honestly out of all the mob wives... I feel sorry for Rosalie Aprile the most. Losing her husband Jackie to chemo and now the possibility of her only son going too. She knows. She's not stupid. Everyone else has already said what's needed to be said regarding the Tony/Gloria storyline. The delve into the psyche of Tony and the psychological issues that Gloria deals with.. its just so well done. Excellent television. The sopranos showing just how toxic the mob lifestyle is. It eats away at everything. Christopher as well getting a glimpse at the bullshit past the outsider fantasy of what it is. The rules, the air of respect for made guys and the loyalty to the family don't mean shit.

Season 3 isn’t one of my few favorite seasons. However, it is a season full of a lot of risk taking and great character moments. And it sets the rest of the series up well, slightly shifting the style and tone of the first couple years.

I missed it my first 2 watches but when tony is dragging gloria into her office she licks her lips, she's turned on by the theatrics. The level of detail is unbelievable

from Talking Sopranos, the lady that played Gloria said about the fight scene, when she spit in tonys face, that was not supposed to happen, she just did it on the fly!!! And Jimmy was pissed!

I think the scene w Tony and Ralph was more Tony trying to get Ralph to give Jackie a pass, that way the other capos get upset and Tony can maybe get rid of Ralph. Giving Jackie Jr a pass was def not an option and if Ralph chose that Tony has an opportunity to rid himself of a pretty big headache
