My broken balls award goes to the Asian people as a whole. Kim was played by Henry Yuk, who is Chinese American and born in Brooklyn. I felt he was doing the Asian version of minstrelsy with that accent. I bet he’s a nice guy and a great actor, but dude sounded like Elmer Fudd more than a Korean immigrant. The most Korean thing about this character was his Cobra hat in the scene where he got his ass beat (Spike might know this bc it’s a golf brand lol). But Paulie’s line of “Remember Pearl Harbor” always has me dying bc of how over-the-top racist it was. Prob my favorite line of the season 😂 Fun fact: Liza Lapira, who played Kim’s daughter, is Filipina American and just got a Disney check for being in Inside Out 2, which dropped this year.
