I shed tears listening to only 2 minutes. That truly amplifies how profound this soundtrack is and the majestic performance by this orchestra. Just wow.
Always I will be grateful to God, the medicians and the science, that allowed me survived the cancer for be able to continue enjoying of the beauties of the life, as are this music and this orchestra. Love from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Jorge Ginsberg
Hard to believe that the motion picture *The Sound of Music* was released 57 years ago (1965). Where does the time go?? A beautiful performance; a reminder that our lives would be poorer w/o daily doses of the sound of music in all of its many genres.
Wow! My very favorite musical that happened to pop up in my RU-vid feed. The amazing sound of these songs take me back to 1980 when I was "Marta". My dream role is still Maria, so hopefully one of these days I will be able to turn my greatest hope into reality.
It's been said before and I'll say it again: Such beautiful and sophisticated music being played by musicians who were years away from being born when it had freshly been written - and enjoyed - by millions
Let me just add...I play trombone in the Lake Charles Community Band in Lake Charles, LA and we have "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" on our agenda for our upcoming Spring Concert Sunday, March 17, 2019 in a compilation of arrangements of a few Broadway productions. I'm looking forward to it while typing this at 07:00 on 3/14/19.
That was a delightful covid/sound of music, the orchestral performance was fantastic, these songs NEVER get old,or worn out,Rogers & Hammerstein composed timeless, cherishing music!!!
Absolutely beautiful! The young man who plays the oboe solos is absolutely fantastic. I would like to see more performances from this school. Such discipline.
So touching to hear such wonderful music from young players. I have added a visit to a live performance by such young orchestra players in Poland in my bucket list, when I visit Austria and Hungary next year 2019!
Fantastic, such a joy to see fabulous music like this alive and well in schools the world over. But I have to admit that Climb Every Mountain was the best part of the whole thing!
The movie was released in 1965 the year i was born ive watched it many times and some scenes make me emotional almost to tears..julie Andrews as Maria and our Canadian actor the late Christopher Plummer as the Captain.. and the songs by Rogers and Hammerstein all well written and performed by the cast.
Thank AFT for another ❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶. Julia Andrews. Christopher Plummer, Eleanor Parker : great actors. Unforgettable beautiful movie based on true story. My ex-boss Sr. Louis Anothony knew Ms. Trapp very well when I working in New Haven Catholic St. Raphael Hospital. Everybody in hospital knew about it. It is quite a story. I think the time Mr. Trapp had already passed away, Mrs. Trapp was raising all kids by herself. I always got on Google and tried to search what happened to the children later.
I absolutely love rock its my favorite genera but i still find myself enjoying some of this music, its so well crafted and is still what consider the truest music
Amazing young men and ladies yet their performance is sooo beautiful...just like professional ...enjoyed it well! While we are all in Pandemic 2020! Thank you for your sharing....🙏💕♥️
This band is superior. We played this in high school (sans the strings) and just as good. We had many excellent players who doubled on other instruments. So many of us memorized so many scores, we didn't have to look at the music. We closed our books and turned the music away.
One of my friends played in the movie. She's just as sweet as she appeared in the movie. Her name is Angela Cartwright. She played von Trapp's daughter, Brigitta
