really glad you're posting more often now. I remember you were one of the first people making useful videos about the 6040, looong time ago. And what you did with the Optimum was impressive as well. Nice parts you are making, would be interested to see how they look after anodizing

Thanks mate yeah I am trying to show a little more about the machine and what I do. Sometimes a bit hard as I can't show the final project or even show parts sometimes! Cheers

Really enjoying watching your process. I didn't realize just how many of those holes would end up tapped. Parts look great!

When doing a lot of tapping with the same tool, the tool can get entangled with material, especially in aluminium, so I've found that starting the thread 20-30mm above the actual hole can throw some of the material off the tap =) Nothing is worse than busting a part because a tap broke in it. Cheers!

@CMTeamCobra Oh absolutely you can, depending on the cost of the part versus the cost of making a new one =)

Have you installed aftermarket filtering for your coolant? It comes out a bit slower than our machine. It would be nice to hook that airblast up to an M code also! Great parts mate 👍

Hey mate no I haven't, I just had the valve closed slightly. I don't normally have it cranking full blast hehe. For sure, project for the future ✌️ cheers

Hey these are for a battery to monitor mount (adapter plate), I'll show it rigged up when I have them anodised and lasered 👍👍

Mitch Kavney Hey that’s where I didn’t account for the fixture stock, and as a result the tap broke when it made contact

Your video title reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel song, “sound of silence”. Thought I’d add my own lyrics, “hello darkness smile old friend, I’m back watching Crudds video again”. 😂. Oh, did you get that broken tap out? It’s a horrible sound when it happens isn’t it 😔.
