Thank you for the overview. I always was wondering about these Germany-China machines ( at least that's how they sold them in Ukraine )

Hi and thanks for uploading your videos I enjoy watching them. Would you mind telling me what’s the largest part you have milled on your F80? and would you mind showing us what the rear of the machine looks like, I’m interested to see if it flat along the back? Many thanks keep the clips coming👍

Nice overview. I had to help out on some repairs for these machines. The special limit switches for XYZ broke down. A little hard to find. Surprisingly I got the genuine switches from Ebay no probs. Also had problems with coolant affecting flexible cables to XY limit switches. Machine would not index. Coolant made the sheath go hard, crack, then wires went open circuit in the cracks. Had to re-run fresh multi-core cables from the table to the screw term blocks in the rear. A bit fiddly, but doable.

The Ref Drive problem is comming from your Switch housing position. It is a pit to far away from the ref point stone. So if you drive to fast The stone move over the switch without touch it deep enought. Enjoy your machine and greetings from Optimum Germany

Hi Luke, You give me the Information to use F360 for this Maschine - works great! Optimum Service always verry helpfull all the Time, one call solve the Problem. Tip - if the Z in G0 makes noise change the bearing under the Silver Protection cover. Its a 6003 2z . Our F80 now is silent like Never before. Is it possible to change More than 10 tools in this Maschine? We canˋ t find a way to use more than the 10 tools in the Magazine / or to measure them . Verry Hard to write this with german iPad 😂 Greetings from Bremen Germany - please make more videos 👍

Lothar Kahrs More tools is not possible because 808 can not handle tc and handtools. 828d could do it.

For the tool changer - whats about having a pneumatic valve in there which cleans up the tool to change every time?

Windows glass or prespex? If they are glass, try white vinegar. my windows went like that on our dmg and nothing would shift it except vinegar. I made a 10/1 water vinegar mix, sprayed it on, let it sit for 5 then wiped it off

Ok looked it up. Blasocut 2000CF (blaser.com) Blasocut 2000 CF is a water miscible, chlorine free, mineral oil-based cutting fluid. Universal cutting fluid designed for general machining of cast iron, steel and aluminium alloys. MOST Importantly: Good human and skin compatibility

@@cruddCNC Awesome, thanks for the feedback; only info from users is reliable. Moving up from a 6040 soon, so I will need it.

Hi Luke, came across your videos whilst doing some research on this machine, sounds like your pretty happy with it. Do you know of any auto probing addon for the machine preferably with tool measuring ability also? like you we are not machinists but use Laser cutters, laser markers & the same 6040 you have, heavily modded also.

Hey mate yes there is a company in Tasmania that did add one to their machine, they are called IgniteDigi, not sure if there is info online about it but they certainly added one!

Nice, I just got one as my first cnc machine. I'm terrified I'll crash it though. Any tips on avoiding that lol...

Deus Ex Machina great congrats. Run conservatively, double check offsets, don’t let distractions interrupt what you are doing. If in doubt stop and check the setup ;) oh and rigidity is everything!

How has the tool height setter from hare and forbes worked out? It's $100+ cheaper than others I can find but I'm not sure on the quality

It's great, still using it till' this day. When it's very cold in the workshop the oil inside gets a little viscous and it won't reset. A quick blast with the foot heater and it's back in action. Ready for more inappropriate touching off ;)
