I've seen multiple people in the comment secotion on this channel ask "can you play this song on a seven string lyre?" The answer is yes. (I will be posting this comment on every video so everyone can see it). I had the same problem so I tuned my lyre to be E F G A B C D so I'd be able to play *almost* any song on this channel. The only problem in tuning the lyre this way is that you can't play 2 of the same notes on the lyre on higher cords Example: (G G') When that happens just play the singular G note if it looks like this: G G' -Just play the G note twice It works but you may have to occasionally tune the cords for certain songs that are higher or lower pitched of your song. This way works (for most songs)and I know because I learned a few songs already!
Hello Samantha, you are really very strong, I really like listening to you, in fact my mother really likes a song it's Zina from Babylon, but I can't play it on the harp,
Hello! Thank you for the appreciation. 🥰 I haven't heard of Zina, but I found this video tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zPfG2UsitF4.html . You may ignore the guitar tablature and just look at the sheet music. There's even a PDF sheet music file you can download from a link in the description.
@@SamanthaonMars And would you like to play this song one day, because I'm a beginner and I can't quite read the notes of the guitar for the lyre harp? If it is possible of course, in any case you are too strong and continue to make videos because they are really very good.
@@soussougadi2616 Thank you. You're super nice! 🥰 To elaborate on the video, the lower part of the screen is for the guitar and can be ignored. The upper part is the sheet music which is universal for all musical instruments. If you have the time, I'd suggest you to learn how to read sheet music. It will be very helpful in the long term because you'll be able to play a lot of songs through sheet music.
Okay, this is going to sound creepy. Sorry in advance. I have The Watchmen playing in the background. Right when The Sound of Silence starts playing in the movie, was the exact moment when I get the notification that this video is available. The timing was uncanny.
Thank you! :) The comma means the note is in a lower octave. The 16 strings are (from left to right, low to high): G, A, B, C D E F G A B C' D' E' F' G' A'
@@SamanthaonMars mine is set up left to right...high to low ! Interesting eh! And okay, I understand now, so comma is lower octave but the apostrophe is higher octave ?
If you mean loudness, they're both loud enough, but the textures of their sounds are different. To listen to a comparison, check out the sound test here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m3z4OBTDTDQ.html . It's a matter of personal preference which one is better =)
Hi Ashtynn. Fairy Fountain's a tough one to tackle. I'm not sure how it fits into the diatonic lyre that has no sharps and flats. I hope I'll be skillful enough to figure out all the notes some day. =)
