I've been living in Sweden for 8 years. There are some things to appreciate about Sweden but I definitely miss the US for sure. Planning to move back in the future.
Finally some mature mind around here. As you can see, too many people become geniouses around here from the comfort of their chair, and suddenly become sages of the world.
What of course we do so much on tv is from the US. We got more stuff from our own media and other countries yes but American shows and movies still dominate.
I think that they're proud of their home. I think it's really cool that these people aren't afraid to be themselves. That it might not have everything America has, but it's not a problem to them. Where they live is where they want. I don't think it's disparaging to any country.
youre kinda right man. As a swede we got freedom and enjoying our life with no problems at all, we got nice summer and nice winter with everything we want. We dont have to pay for hospital or school, everyone can be exactly what they want to. All swedes own this land together and if we want to put a camp on a beach we can do it withouth any trouble, just enjoying our lives. But ye, american would be cool aswell but it would be to much rules and not the same freedom as here tho// me from sweden
it's just about how they didn't have the typical 'American dream' but they're still happy and proud to be from where they're from. ("we knew that was something that we never had, but we don't worry"). it shows that this dream might not be all it's cracked up to be and everyone has a chance to b happy no matter where they're from. Maja said numerous times that she loves the US, she even calls LA her second home and has it tattoed.

My baby, sweet baby Oh, baby, baby, baby, baby, aah
WAIT is this song from SWEDEN! wow im swedish what are the odds been hearing this song for years now and then would of never guesses it was from sweden
@tiffany10001 We all love and hate aspects of our own countries. I just think that some people from USA need to stop believing what the media feeds them about being the best of the best (sir) etc... I'm off to the USA next week, but i'll be glad after 3 weeks to return to the UK.
i love america but i also love this song if someone made something like this about sweden with the same type of music i wouldn't hate it love this song thou
I was raised in Swden and lived in the US after that (I'm neither swedish or american) I gotta say I prefer swden dude. And this song wasn't created to be racist, it's just that all around the world, you hear Americans talking about how their country is the best, so many americans are ignorant and think everywhere else in the world it sucks besides in the states, I think this song was created to just say that not everyone acutally wants to live in the US apart from what some think.
Sweden is the forgotten country :) I'm swede and I have to confess that us swedes living in the shadow........ all this because we didn't fight in ww1 and 2...
AMERICA IS: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados,Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay,Peru,Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia,Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, Probably United States don't deserve be in the list!
Uhm they dont hate America. America is supposed to be the so called "paradise" right? So i think its that they dont care if they do not live in the "paradise" "Where not living in america, but where not sorry"
An insult to James Brown? How? The songs are quite the opposite to eachother so if this is an insult to James Brown, isn't James Brown's song an insult to The Sounds? Btw, this is not a cover, and so both are original. Personally I prefer this song, not only because I'm not obsessed with the United States but also because this sound is beautiful, the flow i magnificent and the song in general is just splendid! It cannot even be compared to James Brown's song with the same name.
@jsnfvionw By the "US" stole I mean to say, Americans that in our modern day claim that English is their creation of a language and forget that English did not originate from America. Look into the context that I was replying to, also I made this comment over a year ago as you can see so I was a bit surprised to have someone comment back.
@rgarciajr4 I looooove America, I gonna travel there, and maybe be living there for some years! :D it's just such a awesome country, still I'm like this song =)
@@Brrxnd Wow.. I can't believe I wrote this comment. It's just so.. cringe? Hopefully, I was either drunk or trolling at the time. FYI, I didn't travel to America and probably never will; it feels weird seeing this as I can't recall ever loving America or wanting to go there. Whatever.
@@Leaffordeshahah nah man i actually got kinda emotional when i responded to your comment. Mostly because i remember when this song came out, i was around 12 years old and it brings back so many memories. Seeing a comment from that time hits different for me for some reason, like some bittersweet nostalgia
I'm american and live in america and I endorse this message! haha I hate how overrated america is, other countries forget how cool they are because they are so obsessed with "this place" ugh its shameful
The language of the US? English is a language of the UK which the US stole to use mainly. This song was not created to say that America is all bad, it's just saying that no not everyone wants to live in the states as so many americans claim, Ive lived in the states and right now I'd rather be stuck in a war in a third world country then move back there. There are so many americans Ive met that think every country apart from america is a thrid world country thats suffering.
Toilet paper is worth more than we born 1975-1985 in Sweden.. that is just a fact.. nope, Scooter ..do not know the price of toilet paper ..as that is of greater worth to Sweden than me. Fish, ask Norway. As that good nation follow world standards on all levels.
why hate america america is a great country but it dosent mean your country is less because of it the largest economy is usa 2nd is japan both gr8 country sweden is a kewt lil country
I do not want to end up dead before my time. I don't want to live in Sweden at all anymore. The crime statistics upon the 1980s generation of women is awful. And no one ever gets compensation for daughters who killed themselves after sexual attacks or friends who I lost.. it is pure hell for us born 1975-1985.. I don't want to stay in Sweden at all anymore as they do not see women from my generation as valuable at all.
I am sorry I do not live in America.. but then again only North America as we Swedes was part of both those Nations.. still are.. The USA and Canada.. perhaps caught in a Triangle... Sweden.. the USA ..Canada.. just old Noble Swedish individual sharing thoughts.. we lived here for thousands of years so.. perhaps I am not sorry
