I love the conviction when she's talking. I feel there's so much courage in her persona. I also feel she's really genuine as a woman and as a fighter. liked her so much ☺
Nicole's styling in this interview is phenomenal. If she was styled EXACTLY like this and was sent to Miss Universe instead of Maxine, we could have either had our 4th crown or another top 3 placement. Nicole did an excellent job at MGI, but her styling here is far superior.

We need more like her. Filipina beauty contestants like Pia, Catriona and Nicole are needed because of their FLUENCY and ability to express themselves well. Maxine was typical collegiala with a super sosyal Taglish accent. Not good in big pageants!
The judges during her time when she joined Bb Pilipinas made a mistake in choosing maxine medina for the universe crown. Maxine is pretty but...she did her best though during the competition but she really had difficulty during the Q&A. Aminado naman sya.
A woman of substance, very articulate grounded by her humility. Her beauty and wit are two of her strengths. She should have won in the pageant she had competed only if it was objectively done not politicized. Her conviction overflows through her words and gestures. God bless you more.
no. she got lucky to be 1st RU. amongs the top 5 she was the least prettier. but she smart enough during q&a. if you watch MGI 2006, when the hosts announced the winners, fellow contestants were shocked when miss Thailand anounced to be 2nd RU. They expected Indonesia & Thailand will be the final 2.
and compare her swimsuit and long gown competition to Maxine? haha opposite Sila ng kahinaan. so, yeah don't compare. magkaiba nga Sila at may kanya kanya silang strength.
Kwak Kwak it's easier to learn how to walk in swimsuit and gown rather than to be as articulate as nicole. kahit ikaw siguro mas pipiliin mong maging conversant and articulate kesa sa marunong magswimsuit at gown.
Kwak Kwak comparing is a reality of life because there will always be one greater than the other. without comparison, what's the point of having competitions such as beauty pageants. beauty pageant is a game of comparison where one woman will be declared as more beautiful than the others. Get real! no matter how you parade yourself in shimmering gowns and swimsuits if your brain has no glimmer of knowledge, you're nothing. LASTLY, THE CROWN IS PUT ON THE HEAD NOT ON ANY PART OF YOUR BODY, BECAUSE INTELLIGENCE OF THE MIND IS THE TRUE SENSE OF BEAUTY.
Jeffrey Enrico Vinzon haha comparing is normal dear but you are comparing two diff. representative from our country. you can't judge the person by just one, twice, 3x na palpak sa interview., remember may kanya kanya tayong kakayahan at may ibat ibang klase ng intelligence hnd mo lang pwd pagbasihan kung paano sya sumagot and immediately masabi mo na mas matalino sya compare sa isa. pinanganak din tayo na ibat iba ang personality. this is how she represent her self, how she talk and how she think but you see another person who is more experienced, aggressive in answering and talking in front of a camera but without her experienced (Speech writer) maybe we will see a diff person. but they are now at the same Field which is pageantry. as you said after all its a beauty Pageant, it should be a total package. not just because you are more experienced (i preferred that word than "Smart") than her doesn't mean you are more deserving than the other candidate. there are a lot of things to consider in winning the crown. its like winning the lottery kailngan mo itaya lahat but you should have also that thing called "LUCK" .
Been binge-watching almost all of the recent beauty queens' interviews from Pia, Maxine, Kylie & now Nicole. All of them impressed me (except for one) as they have shown the true mark of what a beauty queen should be like (and is expected by the people): poised, witty (quick thinker) eloquent, good presence of mind and unwavering confidence. Beauty is usually a given. What gets or impresses the people is a candidate's charisma, her eloquence, spontaineity in expressing herself & her advocacies, & her over-all aura of confidence. Well, well, well, let's wait & see how things will go on Jan. 30. Hopefully, we wouldn't be made a global laughing stock. 😉

She might have lost in Miss Grand International 2016. That was also the same year Catriona Gray lost in the Top 5 of Miss World. But she won an even bigger prize 2 years after: She was the Q&A coach that helped Catriona dominate Miss Universe 2018. Both are legends.
I would support Filipino candidates all the way. Nicole lost me when she opened her mouth during the Q & A of MGI. I just sat there and watched the audience boo at her.
