That shot of the rear of the mixed train was really cool. It made me think of how fun/adventurous/romantic it might have been in those days to ride a mixed or two or three and just amble along through the hinterlands. I guess it would have been smart to pack one's own food and liquid necessities for a journey like that. Being younger and in prime health would also be helpful, as I'm sure the accommodations were about a step or two below camping in a tent. Thanks for video, TH.
The thing I wouldn't like about mixed trains is how long they'd take to get around. Or how they'd work in a PSR environment where they trains can leave anywhere in a 72 hour window.
This commentator is a complete waste of time. He knows next to nothing about the subjects he is discussing. It would have been great if he had taken the time to do some proper research beforehand.
