Asa is one of my favorite actors too and I agree with you guys I think he’s very good looking and speaking of British accent I have a British accent too
I liked the movie because I watched it like a fun romantic story, I took it like a fantasy movie... the people that rated it C-, rated it like that because if you think about things in it related to reality, then you'll notice it has a lot of stupid things like: the internet communication from Mars to Earth was instant and that is impossible, his mom was pregnant and no one did know that (when you have a lot of tests prior to a travel in space like that), what did they feed the baby if they weren't prepared for that, they could travel on Mars like you would travel from a country to another - and a travel like that has freaking enourmous costs and takes a lot of time, they needed only 6 months to go to Mars when it's a lot far than that, laptops are huge and transparent (come on, really?!) and a lot of things like that... but if you watch the film like a fantasy and you won't think about it like a SF, something related to reality, then yes, it can be a nice movie.
@@lordsilver14, I agree with you there, that's probably why this movie got that rating. I really don't understand why everybody has to have that mentality of, "Everything I watch has to be worthwhile, and realistic!" I personally was entertained, delighted, emotional, and, surprised. It's great how this movie gave me a lot of emotions all on different scenes. I believe this movie was worthwhile and entertaining.
The movie made by American producers and is set in America, so he had to adapt an American accent for the movie. Gardner was raised by American scientists and therefore has an American accent, that’s why Asa had to portray and American accent there.
Being an astronaut requires a lot of mathematical intelligence, knowledge of physics, and responsibility. For some people, that dream is like the stars, out of reach for them, but Astronauts have to be able to reach for the stars. (Did you like my reference, you know, with the stars?)
