Philodo h8 for me with one leg would be a very good choice because going up hills my bike has stopped and I had to push it up with one leg. But the issue is it only just runs on the back motor when you're pedaling but I bet there's a fix for that or put another motor on the front of my hammer bike. I could never afford this one. And for towing stuff I like the hardtail. Glad you're still making videos hope you're okay I have essential tremors and it really sucks

Cool bike, for sure, but when I bought and received my new Foxbat from you guys last year, I ordered mine with an extra set of 27.5X3.0 wheels with tires, and an extra battery too. My point here is, if you don’t need rear suspension, the Foxbat Line is a much better deal. My Foxbat with the extra wheel set and the extra battery option I purchased from you is cheaper! I’m also amazed at what the Foxbat is capable of. My new Foxbat also has parts on it from Enaurou because they are labeled with that companies name (same manufacturer for sure). BTW, I’m 70 years young, and ride with a prosthetic leg, so I’m not super aggressive by any means. I do chase trials motorcycle around our event loops though, and it goes everywhere these two-wheeled gazelles can go! Would I like to have the Specter S, absolutely. I feel the Foxbat line is a great bike at a better price point however (especially when it’s on sale!).

Thanks for giving this bike a fair review. Far too many bike snobs out there putting brands down because they don't match up with something that costs $2500 more and up. If a person wants Specialized Levo or Trek fuel performance let them go spend 10 to 14k.

The one thing I see with this model is you cannot go with a larger Chainring. I have the ST step through and I wanted to go to a 44 t and the rear frame is to close to the chainring. You would have to take a grinder and shave off the frame to get it to fit.

I just got a Biktrix Juggernaut FS Pro 3 and it appears that the Spector S has the same frameset. They really seem to be the same bike with different outfitting's. That's not a "bad" thing, but it does raise the eyebrows a bit.

Hey Dude, I'm gonna do you a super Solid here since you are now coming over to the idea of these kinds of bikes. I don't really know how big the E-bike market is but I know its big because I've searched it out and there are all kinds of brand names hiding everywhere so I dont know if you havent heard about some yet but check out Bintelli M1's and a few more and then Specialized or Trail Stars. You are welcome and you can repay the favor in whatever way you think worthy. I own three of them, check them out! They are the best quality to price ratio for the medium low end of the high scale E-bikes.

I'm 64. No heroics for me. (FINALLY! urban, upright, cruizer, STEP THRUs are available! REAL commuters ! ) I just learned that for just running errands, 250w is preferred. Slower accel. & longer running. I bet there are LOTS of older folks that would buy, but the market was SATURATED with cheap "mountain bikes". But, you kids have fun! I AM interested in rear suspension (potholes) and continuously variable transmissions....

So I had a bike that is the exact same one sold by a different company and I ran it for about 1 year and there are a few things with this bike you have to know 1 The bike weighs a ton!! it weighs ~70 pounds without the battery. This is a very heavy bike and even getting it into my 1+ bike rack was hard and onto the bike repair stand for normal maintenance 2. The bike is heavy so most bike racks are not designed for this kind of weight you are going to have to buy a good bike rack to support this bike 3. The Wheel base is LONG on this bike. Total length of the bike is like 79.9 inches but the wheel base is like 52", trying to find a bike rack that can hold that much will be hard. 4. That huge screen in the middle is so in the way, this is where my phone needs to go, I wish they would have used the below the bar version on this bike. You don't need a screen this big, you just don't. Since my bike got stolen I really decided to break my bike into to uses, pleasure and commute. I bout a mountain bike for pleasure and a standard 500 mid drive for my commute. The weight was way better on the mid drive and I got a Fuel EX 5 mountain bike also for about $1000 more money. This bike is also noisy as heck as Befang does not put enough grease in these motors and they have metal gears in them. Just my opinions but there is a reason even with insurance money I did not rebuy a bike like this I actually bought a VoltBike Enduro FS bike because I live in Canada

@JethroXP
@JethroXP Год назад
@@Bigdog1787 When I looked it seems that the Fat-HS is a similar concept but made with less expensive components. I think the Specter S and the FS Pro 3 are probably more comparable given the components they use (SRAM derailleur, Tektro brakes, inverted forks, etc.). The Fat-HS is no doubt a fine ebike, but the economy components put it in a different performance class.

only thing i see. is it does not have triple t’s for the front forks. one would think having a far better/ stronger fork to head tub mount would be required on most if not all mt E bikes. as these bikes have a ton of weight as compared to a mt bike. So I’m not trying to hate or be a rude person but I have to disagree about the abilities of this bike. So where I work we sell this same bike and it has tons of frame flex. It’s a fairly heavy bike with a small battery and low power. Now as a utility bike it wouldn’t be horrible but as a mountain bike it’s not great. I personally would rather recommend a bike like the Luna x-2 or Luna z-1. They are a bit more expensive at 4200 and 4500. They do have a nicer suspension set up. It’s geometry isn’t the best. Not to say it’s horrible but it’s not great. Now to be fair, it’s all personal preference but this would not be my hike of choice or recommendation for anyone coming into my shop.
@Area13ebikes
@Area13ebikes Год назад
Most of what you say is true - it's heavy and lighter EMTB will absolutely be better. I would have to disagree on the "low power" statement. Most people find over 1,000 watts to be more than sufficient.

@lyamcross6734 Год назад
@@Area13ebikes My bad, I didn't even process it was a 1000w bike. 1000w is more than enough for most people. If you haven't you should do a review on a bike like the luna Z-1 if you ever got the chance and compare the two. I'd love to see your opinions on the two and what you like about each.
@lyamcross6734
@lyamcross6734 Год назад
@@michelleevans9869 Well, Would you look at that. I've learned something today, The Wattswagon Hydra is the same frame and motor as the Z-1. I didn't catch that the first time around. I'll have to reach out and see if I can snag one of the hydras to really compare the two.
@lyamcross6734
@lyamcross6734 Год назад
@@michelleevans9869 Just looking at the Wattswagon Hydra I'd say I would take the Z-1 over it. Now I've never ridden one and would love to try one but looking at the specs. It's not promising. So if we are talking stock, both bikes have lots of ground to cover before they are beasts on the trail. For most people, either bike would be just fine but to a more advanced or hardcore rider there would need to be some upgrades. Now assuming not everyone is like me and likes top of the line stuff. I'll compare the two bikes in stock form just from a spec standpoint. The Hydra comes with a nicer set of brakes. I'll be honest though, The Sram guide r that comes on the Luna is more than enough. The bite of the Magura's is much cleaner. Both are 4 pot hydraulic brakes and will both do pretty well on a trail. The suspension is what really gets me. The pike on the Luna really blows the SunTour and Manitou out of the water. I've ridden most forks that exists and Luna most definitely takes it with the fork. The rear shock on the Hydra takes the win here. The Dvo Topaz HV is a really nice shock. It did take some digging to figure out that was what was on that bike. The deluxe select on the Luna isn't the best shock. I personally upgraded to the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2T for around the same price as the Dvo and I personally like it much better. The Microshift on the Hyrdra isn't my favorite drivetrain but neither is the Sram SX on the Luna. With a simple upgrade of the rear derailleur to a Sram GX I personally believe that is does much better than the Microshift. The dropper post on both of the bikes aren't th best but do the job. I don't have any complaints from either of them or think one is better. The rest of the bike (Like the cockpit and comfort things like grips and pedals) I won't compare as those are cheap parts and are all down to rider preference. I think you get much more bike for you buck from the Luna Z-1 but neither bike is a bad option. Respectivly priced as 4500 for the Z-1 and 6500 for the Hydra. The bikes are so similar it's almost all personal preference.

If you do not ride only down hill, with 2nd parallel batery this bikes becomes what should be by specifications, pulling more than 20A - 30A cause sagging voltage and lossess internal and external. 2 bats half the current in each and that is the different World. Tires 26x4", but rim is not true 4" more narrow what is good for pedalling but not true fat tire bike, smaller than Defender S with 2 motors 750W , no chain more Economy Efficiency and power, if you change to low gear and pedal up hill this bike will go over any road hill faster than 1000W bafang mid drive.
@PNWeBike
@PNWeBike Год назад
I don't think you understand how the batteries work. They are not in parallel. Only one is active at any given time. There is an additional controller circuit that monitors the charge of both, and when the active battery gets in the range of 5-10% lower than the standby, it will dynamically swap the load. You don't notice it unless you are really paying close attention to your display in which case you will see the reported voltage (or percentage) go up when the swap happens. This gives the previously active battery time to cool and refresh a bit, extending the overall range. Point being though, only one battery is actively carrying a load at any given moment and the batteries never interact.
