Yo Ramsey, another informative fragrance breakdown! good job! ... * To me, today's niche modern-day fragrances are complex perfumes that are often a blend of both natural & synthetic ingredients, which (to me) are not the same as they were in the late '70's & early '80’s!
Superb intro on Versace. Couldn't agree more about Versace Man. Very interesting about that coffee note too. It was originally one of my favourite notes in perfumery. ☕
Maestro, you really like the spirit of Dubai. For my current state of mind, Amouage is still the best perfume house from the Middle East. I still haven't tried Spirit of Dubai perfumes, but time is on my side, as well as your reviews. Keep smelling good Texagrance maestro !

@@RamseytheRam Yes I wrote that on Fragrantica. I have a bunch of Floris'. My favorite is Elite, which was released in 1980, but was actually based on/inspired by a lotion product sold by Floris in the mid 1800's! Elite has been described as a hybrid of Creed Bois du Portugal and RL Polo Green elements, but I think the Polo aspect is very subdued. It's closer to BdP and a bit soapy. Also just a bit indolic/animalic compared to BdP.
I tried both today and I wanted to like Majalis since I saw your video beforehand but I think it was way too incense-y on me? It was very different than what I was smelling on the atomizer of the bottle. Do you think naturals play a role in this? I was kind of let down that I didn't like it on me. @@RamseytheRam I was really digging into them but almost everything seems to be sold out on the site and the second-hand market on them is crazy sometimes. Also I am getting very good deals on both Turath and Majalis (something like 50% off) that's why I was considering these two. But if you still insist on Areej I will buy one😂😂
I have a couple Ajmal that Russian Adam suggested. Gotta deal, that's why I picked them up. They are the Al Shams. Actually, when I sent you that package, the smell of the cloth was applied with an Al Shams. They are loud, in your face, but I very much enjoy them, for they do differ in their approach to perfumery. They are not those Club you over-the-head bubblegum bro night out scents though. BTW, I took back Eros to Macy's the day after I bought it. Industrialized household cleaner. That was my thought when I first sprayed it on. I don't like Verscae's Frachie either. Gross. I do like thier Oud Noir. I certainly like it much better than Boss Bottle Oud. I got a travel spray of Bottle Oud and enjoyed it, so I ordered a bottle. The bottle I got doen't match the travel sprayer. I did pick up YSL, or maybe two of, Oud Absolu. Glad I got them when I did. I do like it. Oh, just bookmarked Versus. It's a UTIF for a respectable offering. Very much enjoy the visuals of your past.
Thank you my friend... if you trust my nose I think you will very much enjoy versus uomo... just make sure the bottle looks like the one I showed in the video as they also did a V/S branded fragrance and it is quite different 🤌🤌🤌
@@RamseytheRam in retrospect, layering was probably my unconscious way to create before I knew it was possible to buy raw materials and combine them the way perfumers do.
The empty bottle? I used to throw them away believe it or not... i just chunked my first 2012 bottle of creed aventus 😂 Till i saw people payed $ for empty bottles... plus now that I have a channel I will probably keep them in case I want to show the nottle or talk about it someday
Not a bother at all brother ... its a great question... like I said at first I had no idea what to do with them... wish I wouldnt have thrown out the ones I threw out 🤣🤷♂️
