There are lots of this RU-vid frag reviewers that hype lots of fragrances for reasons everyone knows. And sometimes they do that even for fragrance that smells so bad and cost $$$ And that’s way most of ppl that buy on the hype end up selling it for a lost …. Pls stay true because eventually they’ll realize that and start to look for reviews like yours. Best.

Russian Adam sent me some samples of the Areej le Doré house and he said the best thing when he sent them... he said the best thing for a creator to hear is honest constructive feedback .... couldnt agree more... now when you get to this level EVERYONE LOVES EVERYTHING & as a creator you never hear any honest opinion... so thats why I am doing this channel... some people who arent used to hearing anything but positive feedback get offended but to bad for them 🤷♂️😂

I love that at least u try to pronounce the weird words, I hate seeing RU-vidrs who don’t even try and just say “ I can’t say this word so I’m not even gonna try”. Pisses me off. Only a mature person who’s sure of themselves and doesn’t give a crap what other ppl think deserve my respect. I can definitely see why you’re getting lots of perfume gifts, you’re very much loved. There are very few RU-vidrs who I’ll sit thru almost an hour of them talking. You’re one of them.

Nice first impression. I quite like Meydan, although I only have the discovery set sample. I don't think I'll ever get a bottle as I only find it works for me when the weather is very cold although I suspect it would also work great in the dry desert heat where most perfumes disappear in a heartbeat. It is a "like" rather than a "love" and I would probably only wear it a couple times a year at most, so it doesn't make sense to get a bottle. Like a lot of middle eastern perfumes, it is heavy handed in its construction as well as overly brash and opulent. Another thing I've noticed is that it smells great on other people. I have an acquaintance who wears this and I find his sillage smells great.
Yes thats a great way of putting it ... like instead of love is perfect... i agree I would totally wear this a couple times a wear But I am not moved enough to get a full bottle... maybe one of these remaining 5 from the sample set will move me.. but so far its mehhhh 🤷♂️
Great review. You will probably like more the 2nd generation of meydan, Abjar which I personally think is amazing except for the price which is excessive. Also, although not exactly the same as Rojas, many of this brands perfumes, especially the 2nd generation kinda rhyme with roja perfumes albeit with some differences which leads me to believe they may have crossed paths at some point in their perfume making people.
I think that is a great shout about the perfumers crossing paths... i could totally see it... i sort of see Spirit of Dubai of the Middle Easts Roja 😂😂
Al-Jazeera is a middle eastern brand that uses perfumers like Dominique Ropion and Julien Rasquinet, never got my nose on it however. Also got the change recently to buy Hermes Caleche for a steal, worth it?
Calache is an aldehydic floral... classic style... very feminane leaning... for a classic referrence yes... if you plan on wearing it day to day ... probably will feel like you are out of place... but to break the perfume down ... smell the details etc... its beautiful

Great review... I have to agree with you I like Meydan but it's not among my favorites... I could list 10 I like much more from the brand. And agreed on this one I wouldn't trade this for one of the gulf collection offerings. ✌🏻
What are your favorites from the brand Jonathan?? I have come to really respect your nose... so if this one of the lower ranked ones maybe I should be excited again for the reat of the early impressions from this house 🍻
@@RamseytheRam well for me I'm a big fan of the following. Fakhama and Turath. And to a lesser extent Oud (nostalgia being the first I sampled from the house). I'm currently sampling Majalis (good but jury still out)... Narjesi is an amazing Rose... Haibah has a beautiful Patchouli... Diwan is stunning. And of course Baz (😏) is a killer.... I've tried others but these are the notables for me. ✌🏻

Not to be confused with Spirit of Kings. 😄 The clone brand. Truth be told, I have Matar and Provenzano's version of Aventus is probably my favourite version. Sucks about that synthetic oud tho. I actually gave a Lattafa frag another go recently (based on a recommendation) and realized that I can't stand their screamingly chemical oud-saffron mix. Horrid stuff. I'm with you on Promise. 🍏
Yes! That synthetic oud / saffron accord its like my nose is a blood hound and sniffs it out everytime 😂 Promise is a gem indeed for that "style" of perfume 😊

I think promise is a great perfume... it made my top 100! I would rather wear Promise over Meydan I will tell you that 😂 Puredistance M is one of my favorite leathers of all time..but Bel Ami is the inspiration for both Puredistance M & Roja Fetish so for me that gives the edge to Bel Ami but I love all 3 🙏
The Mydan copy / story sounds like a cheap porno scenario from the 70s 😂 Aside from that i dont see myself paying that much for the spirit of dubai , id prefer sticking to know brands, nowadays everyone sticks the name of dubai / luxury / london on anything they want to sell for high money.
Yes I think you are spot on they are trying to capitalize on all the $$ flowing into Dubai .. its just for the $ they are asking I demand more than what they are giving 🤷♂️
They have figured out that us stupid Americans will buy any garbage perfume as long as the packaging is nice. Sadly this is true. For most ppl. Not all. Not me .
