There is a similar quote about little things (sowing) having big consequences. It was in a Benjamin Franklin book. It starts, “For want of a nail, a horseshoe was lost, etc” It has an even longer history. You can read more in Wikipedia.
“Doom Scrolling,” is going through many articles that all have bad or catastrophic news/subjects. At least that’s what I understand. Bad news, after bad news, after news. It’s a BAD habit!
