@@bigsquiga6429 I also really like this theory but I have one problem with it. You can hear the screams in the octo expansion (octo samurai baller challenge) itself and at that point the blender hasn’t been reconstructed yet.

also i would like to add that theres a city in hong kong named kowleen wallled city and its been dubbed "city of anarchy" with the whole "anarchy" thing in splatoon 3 i think they had kowleen walled city as like, a more specific reference location which i think is neat

Many were limited to, at most, 6 stories tall, and what do we see in Splatsville? Buildings only as tall as 6 stories. Anyways, hope you enjoyed the extra points I've added.

Oh my god this makes way more sense than having the Splatlands set solely -- if at all -- in Japan! Another dead giveaway is if you look at the official map, it oddly enough resembles Port Shelter and Tai Poi Hoi quite abit! Not exactly, but if you remember the flood + the fact that that region in Asia sees ALOT earthquakes its incredibly possibly that the land was indeed altered to the extent thst you see in the official map

Honestly I just think the deep sea metro isn't anywhere near the octarian underground, but if those sounds are octolings, then it's probably got something to do with the great octo weapons. If you don't know, the tentacle in the great octo weapons is an octoling gone through some process to make it the way it is. This info is found in one of the sunken scrolls in splatoon 2, though it is a little vague, one of the mem cakes in octo expansion makes it a clearer, even going as far to say that agent 8 themself fears that it could have happened to them.

There are 10.007 applicant's for the deepsea metro before agent 8, not all off them have died, most of them gave up. But some of them found all 4 thangs, but they were blended up before they could reach the promised land. You can hear their screams in the blender scene or you can search up "splatoon 2 blender completed". And yes the devs did say that they didn't even know that the sounds were in the game. I'm just saying that there might've been octolings before agent 8.

That’s a good question lmao. I think I did a goof and messed up then. Idk fitting splatfests into cannon is pretty difficult. We still don’t know if the 3 rerun splatfests are cannon.

@@rizirone was the super star vs mushroom splatfest was held in Japan as well? Cause that could mean the Mario games existed before humanity went extinct in splatoon 2.

Don't sweat it too much, lmao. There are a lot of misunderstanding among the Splatoon community, mostly because we get very little information or it's wrong cuz translation issues. There are actually some facts he gets wrong in the video if we compare them to the one we have from japanese sources, so take everything with a grain of salt! If u want to know more about the Splatoon lore, I recommend u watching Rassicas videos and following Mr Switch on Twitter, Splatoon lore it's so confusing but it's like a rabbit hole. Btw, just noticing this comment it's from 9 months ago, so maybe u already know most of these things, srry for that.

The idea that the screams are from the deep-sea-metro is false because they are canonically confirmed to be super far away from each other Inkopolis is on the coast, Metro underwater, Octo Valley more mainland (behind Inkopolis) So it's basically about the energy crisis.

theory:srl is canon but not the form we know,srl posts aren't but the srl is canon as a scientific corporation making new gear and specials and stuff

this comment is old af but i'll do anything to protect my bbg from the "he's controlling his people" misconception so, nuh uh!! in splat1 credits you can see male agent 1 wearing the octoleet goggles and next to him there is an octoling without them holding her hand out to him, as if he stole them off of her and she wants them back. if the glasses were indeed similiar to callies, the octoling would've snapped out of the mind control and definitely not want them back, proving that they definitely aren't mind controlled

im veeery late but, nuh uh tartar hates every single marine organism that has evolved from how he remembers it because they're just super silly and remember, he wanted to sanitize the whole world with zero exceptions (not to mention not every single octarian/ octoling is apart of octavios army, shiver for example is from the splatlands and she grew up in there so shes not nor she ever was apart of the army) + octavio would HATEEEE that idea. when his army got kidnapped by grizz he made a whole ass mech and flew to the crater (approx ~170km) just to try and find them. despite all of the misconception about him brainwashing his people (which he didnt do) he cares about them a lot and would despise tartar for blending their corpses to zombify other troops
