If you speed it up to 1.25, it makes a great music to use when you're trying to escape a western saloon and everyone there is trying to put your head on a plate.
My grandma got me hooked on bluegrass, and this game made her speak up and say "what is that music!? Is that your game? I love it!" 😊 Love you, Grandma! ❤
Im thinking if they ever make a remastered version of this game, they should make the driving levels the same theme but with different insturements. Dont you think? Heres my example: -sandwich driving 101 should just be a remastered theme of the original -no weenie parking any time should have heavy metal insturments -sundae driving should have the same insturments as im ready depression -and the drive of the knuckleheadMcSpazatron should have more of a darkish/scary tone. Good idea, right?
I agree with you but on Drive of the Knucklehead-McSpazatron I feel it should be left with Sandwich Driving 101. Mainly because even though Spongebob and Patrick's town has been taken over they still keep hope alive and with this song it's so upbeat in a dark time. But yes new music would be great.
Wow, hard to believe it's been 10 years. I remember being 8 years old and in 2nd grade playing this game for hours. Now I'm 18 and graduating in 3 months.
GameAddict51 I’m 16 but I too fist got this game in second grade and I played this game for hours and hours at a time now I’m in high school wishing I could turn back time
Ninjoe I hated the ring challenges when I was young playing again being older is still a pain but me and my younger self had one thing in common we both raged and both did it
I love how these old/obscure game tracks always have nice comments, no one ever disses any one else because this is something we all have an odd, nostalgic respect for, and we respect others who share that nostalgia. It's nice
To this DAY I have beaten EVERY SINGKE CHALLENGE... except Rock Slide’s macho time challenge. I tried, I really did, but I NEVER figured it out! Just... HOW!?
Sandwich Driving 101's (and the rest of the driving levels) music is not completely the same as Three... Thousand Miles to Shell City. For the most part it is the same piece, just with additional bits sprinkled on that the other doesn't have. The differences? The driving level music has violin sections while the platforming level counterpart doesn't. I understand that this has been brought up before, but there are still those who fail to see the differences. I think the composers added violin segments exclusively to the driving level theme to give it more of a relaxed, road trip type of vibe.
Just a bit earlier, I was doing the macho time trial for Drive of the Knucklehead-McSpazitron. For the first time ever, I made it to the finish line, three seconds to spare. However, the timer would keep on going through the entire jump to the Krusty Krab 2. The timer ran out JUST before the ending point, I landed in the end zone and the timer hit zero. And then, the silent rage began.
This game has the badass songs (Bubble blowing baby hunt), creepy songs (Now that we're men), and normal everyday spongebob-themed songs (this one). Such a wild variety in a simple spongebob game, it blows my mind. One of the best, if not THE BEST spongebob game I've played (I didn't play Battle for Bikini Bottom, so that's why I didn't say it).
MeeMFromHH They're pretty similar in many points. I officially recommend to play Battle for Bikini Bottom. Oh gosh.. I played it and let me say: It's a truly blessed game!
@@AliceFireQueen idk, it takes the right interpretation to realize how sinister shell city actually is, but i guess now that we're men is the most in your face about it. also, is menacing not the least bit creepy?
Despite the game itself being good (at least from nostalgia), this song is way too good for this game. I'm not a violin player, but from someone who has an ok understanding of musical ability, the violin player is shredding the FUCK out of this song lmao
the structure of the song is very dynamic and pleasant as well. different sections to showcase different instruments, the composers & producers really knew how to write a memorable tune.
Holy shit this is amazing! I've been listening to this particular piece for many years now and there's something about it that I love. I'm not a musician, so I wouldn't know how to explain it, just that it makes me inspired to do something. Truly one of the greats here.
I’ve driven on the freeway many times with this playing and it’s so fun. Seriously you should try it haha I passed by a car accident and caught myself saying “so much destruction” 😂
Played the game recently for nostalgia purposes and was able to beat it unlike my first time playing this game when I was young, I was stuck when trying to get up to 50 goober tokens and my young brain couldn't complete the dumb ring and strict time trial challenges and just gave up. playing it recently, I was able to optimize a good strategy to at least get close enough to 50, did the really easy time trial challenges and at least 1 ring challenge.
I never even played this game before, but I remember hearing it while watching gameplay but I never paid attention to anything but the music. So this feels nostalgic to me in a way
I remember playing this back in 2005 and I was on the level where you have to race the guy on the bike. I was about to beat the level, and the gate opened to go to the finish. All I had to do was veer right. However, I overturned, crashed into the wall, and the guy on the bike beat me by 1 second. And to this day, that was the only time I chucked my controller at the TV, I was so angry.
This game or Battle for Bikini Bottom? Personally I think BfBB takes the cake but this game wasn't half bad. Spongebob video games, an area of the gaming world you wouldn't expect to have excelled in that's for damn sure.
This game is good, but it's a step down from Battle for Bikini Bottom. Stages are more straightforward, Sandy isn't playable due to Plankton's mind control so less playable characters, the boss fights aren't as memorable, the soundtracks of both are nice.
In Drive of the Knucklehead Mcspazitron, if the road gets blocked, you'll have to start over from the beginning. Drive fast and avoid hot sauce, exploding barrels (both damage you if you touch them, 3 hits will result in the Patty Wagon falling apart), and oil slicks. (Greatly reduces your traction for a short time)
I played this game a shit ton, along with Battle for Bikini Bottom. This song was my favorite song in this game. ever. hands down. even to this day, it still shoots a nostalgia missile right at the feels. 0:16 - 0:30 best part of the song
Even though they got hard at the end to the point where I just kept the nitro boost button held down at ALL TIMES, I loved the driving levels, mainly because I loved the Patty Wagon.
Everything about this theme is perfect, three thousand miles to shell city with violins, definitely my favorite song in the whole game. p.s. I also love the vocal guy at 1:19 in the two versions. (:
