Last driving level: “So Mindy, you want us to go back to Shell City to get more tokens when Krabs is about to get killed? You must be amazing at that stalling thing.”
Patrick: PULL OVER, I HAVE TO--oh. Patrick: Big HAIR! Spongebob: Patrick I think ya mean, "air." Spongebob: Do you have any 3's? Patrick: Go fish. _RAAAAH_ Patrick: TAKE THAT you big...monster...thing!
I like how each Propaganda Tower in the first slide level gets progressively more satisfying to knock down. And, wait why are they sliding in a bathtub of all things? XD
Whenever I was playing the game as a kid, I never thought about that until my dad was watching me play one day and he’s like “wait, why are they in a bathtub?” And I was like “oh damn yeah why *are* they in a bathtub”
Rest in Peace Stephen Hillenburg. This world is not the same without you! Thank you for all the laughs, tears, memories and thank you for making our childhoods awesome
My favorite part of this level was finding the amount of shortcuts and treasures. I hope they remake this game like they remade battle for bikini bottom
I’m not so sure. While I would absolutely love to see this amazing game brought back I’m not much of a fan of Purple Lamp’s different physics, they make the game feel a lot slower.
It really was nice to see that the Spongebob games were handled very well back then unlike most licensed titles. Really, this game is one of the best movie-licensed games ever made.
You can get an emulator like Dolphin emulator to play any Spongebob game on ps2/gc but if you want to play it on the actual ps2 just for nostalgia sake then i feel you. :)
TheMamaluigi300 They're allowed to reuse musical compositions from their own games in other games they've made. Heavy Iron created SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie Game, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Truth or Square.
Nytro yeah, but beating it casually was a pain. Speedrunning it, while being a dangerous run killer, it’s thankfully one of the shortest tracks (with the skip)
Ok so when I was a kid I played Spongebob truth or square on the Wii and this theme (my favorite theme in the game) was the boss theme however I could not find this theme anywhere on the internet until now, so happy I found it eventually
the shell city slide was really fun but my favorite will always be the trench slide. i loved how it was more focused on verticallity as you descended deeper and deeper into the abyss full of giant monsters, eventually going inside multiple of them incorperated into the slide itsef, and then the last stretch of those spinny spike platforms at the very end to get that testosterone pumping at the last second... that'll always be my favorite slide out of them all
Man, the sliding sections were the best in this game! Especially the canyon stage, where you break all the radio towers and they create new paths for you. Why can't most games today have this kind of environmental settings like this?
Definitely one of the best songs in the game! When I introduced this to one of my friends, he added it to one of his playlists that he listens to when he draws stuff (he took a graphic design class in college and his work is superb, I hope he gets to work on games someday)
As a kid i managed to find a crucial shortcut in Shell City's slide but i went back a few weeks ago and i couldn't do it again to beat the Macho Man Time challenge, i must have been one good gamer at this back then xD
I replayed the game a few days ago (I'm turning 16) and I had to look up like shortcuts in order to get even remotely close to the macho time second. I beat it literally by just 1 or 2 seconds.
Both this song and the final boss song are probably the best songs in the entire game plus this song clearly like a remix of the slide theme from Battle for Bikini Bottom
