In the early 80's I put together a Spotnics medley, starting with the slow Johnny Guitar, followed by Moonshot, Amapola and ending in the fast Happy Guitar. I played it with my band "The four Windows" at an open air event in Luzern, Switzerland, and about 1200 people went wild! My young rhythem guitarist told me later that he almost fainted. Great gig I'll never forget.

Jedenfalls das meiste.Aber so ist das nun mal.Dir noch einen schönen Abend.Bis dann.L.G.
Eén der grootste Gitaristen aller tijden.. !.
Merci mille fois...
Yes; Fender Stratocaster he had bought in New York and he developed his own Spotnicks Sound unique in the world that time. He is a génius in electronica :-)
Willem Duys who was the man responsible for signing the artists for this show contracted this band and turned down an in Holland unknown English group from Liverpool who called themselves The Beatles because he “didn’t like their voices”.
So this is why my dads' polka band bought those costumes for... "Halloween". And he always complained about 'those damned kids' and that new-fangled music. Finally found you out dad.
Watching these guys in this and other videos leads me to strongly suspect that they were the inspiration for Devo. Judging by their costumes and body movements in addition to their punk rock like sound.
Those amps and especially the speaker cabinets are monsters. I’ve never seen any like them. I remember in the ‘60’s one of the biggest bass amps was made by Tiesco. It had a massive cabinet with a 30” speaker! I had never heard of such a huge speaker before or since. I wonder if any of those are still floating around.
Great echo-ey sound. Copied the Ventures and the early Shadows; The first album I ever bought was the Spotnicks “Out-a-Space”! (In 1963?) my favourite track was “orange blossom special”... incredibly fast.
I saw them i Halmstad, Sweden, the year was 1964 or 1965. In the "Folkets Park"....Peoples Park. The same year I also saw another swedish band named "the Violents" great days in Sweden.
Man Band “, Songwriter of the ( Music and Lyrics ).-
