I recognized some of Spy’s lines as Admiral Gyozen’s lines from Godzilla Unleashed, and I realized for the first time that they sound almost exactly like the Spy. Now I know that they share the same voice actor. Holy hell my mind is blown.
Well in spy defence, giant kaiju that appear out of nowhere and start roaring is a sign it's going to destroy everything Not to mention Godzilla is the first one to attack by destroying the bridge
@@DanQ2805 Well if you watch from the beginning (not trying to go against your point, your point is right) Spy is the one that first says “I hate you” to Godzilla. Somehow Godzilla understands it and fires the atomic breath.
1:02 I absolutely love how Soldier does that extra smile at the end. Like he's so proud of himself for knowing something and he's super excited to share his knowledge with Spy.
Fun fact: the original ending of Godzilla vs Kong was Godzilla pulling out a shotgun and shooting Kong. This ending was met with negative reception at test screenings, who felt that it was out of character for Godzilla to use firearms, as he has never been seen doing so before. Test audiences also compared this scene to Batman's use of guns in Batman v Superman. This forced the writing team to completely rework the story in time for the film's deadline, which is why the Mechagodzilla plotline felt so rushed and out of place.

My only issue was the lighting could have been a bit better (rim lights do wonders in dark shots) but my god this was WAY better then i thought it would be

"The cart is supposed to move _quickly,_ you idiot!" Fucking _killed_ me. Also I'm glad an actually talented animator found those lines, this is great. Lot of clever jokes.
plot twist: he was actually tripping when he won and kicked godzilla. it was all a lie. they never won. godzilla walked away after destroying the base and never returned.
@@rando_calrissian I thinks its pretty damn obvious that its the same guy. That or the voice actor was told to do a Spy impression, though the games were released very close together
