Noel really does radiate cocky, kinda mean oldest sibling energy. yk that one sibling that goes on a power trip whenever the parents are out bc they get left in charge> yeah, that's Noel. He would 100% say "Excuse you, who did Mom and Dad leave in charge, because I am almost CERTAIN they said it was me."
No one ever talks about how Ricky's new name for Jane kinda actually has a connection to her, since her catchphrase is about lions, and lions live in the savannah.
Idk, she looks like the Freaky Younger one that is obsessed with dolls and looks like one, so thats why she acted a little weird, but she was actually trying to fit her siblings, like when Ocean called her monster. So since she's younger, she doesen't really know anything.
@@SentientIrisu as a nerd, it’s funny that people depicts us nerds as innocent very by the book kind of people when we all just wacky that over enjoys the dopamine of knowing trivial stuffs that we may or may not use in our lives anyway…
fun fact: canonically, Mischa: Oldest Constance: Second oldest Ocean: Middle Noel: Second youngest Ricky: Youngest Makes more sense for Mischa to be youngest if they’re all in the same class but he’s canonically 18 while the others are 17 so…
sibling dynamics Noel: Oldest Constance: Second oldest Mischa: Middle Ricky: Second youngest Ocean: Youngest the ricky and ocean is extremely accurate for my generation of my family bc im second youngest and my sister is youngest and were them (the way we seem to our parents is swapped but everyone our age-ish knows we’re exactly the opposite)
@@annalindeboom8250 Penny Lamb is born April 7th so assuming that was Jane before and not a brand new assigned life, then she'd be between Noel and Ricky
Jane is the one older sibling who moved away for college but comes back for every break. They're just as chaotic as the rest but never got to express it because they were the parent's guinea pig.
That look on Noel's face when Ocean does her "preconceived notion" line is the look of an older sibling who's little sister just delivered a devastating zinger. It's a mixture of pride and "I shall get revenger"
With the idea of the choir being siblings Ocean has vibes of a little kid who’s used to be youngest and getting a lot of attention only for the family to have a another baby, Jane considering the others kind of started paying more attention to her after her song (yes so did Ocean but you could argue some of that is Jane is still her little sister and even if you’re jealous of your younger sibling you’re going to help look after them if you’re old enough to) so in a way Ocean voting for Jane is in this analogy is an older sibling accepting their new baby sibling.
Absolutely. Also the whole “it’s a cupcake, for you,” line sounds like a big sister talking to their baby sister because she doesn’t fully understand what’s going on.
K but Noel and Mischa hugging, Mischa crying and Noel with a surprised Pikachu face, and the fact that they act like siblings and they look like the older ones of them is A M A Z I N G
This is not their canonical ages, this is just my thoughts* Noel and Mischa are the oldest kids, constantly making fun of the younger kids but in secret would kill anyone who came near them. Ocean and Constance are the middle kids who are either always arguing or are hugging and super affectionate towards each other. Ricky and Jane are the youngest who look really innocent but have probably killed many people
As a person with ADHD, Ricky could totally have ADHD. His whole 'level up' thing is like a hyperfixation where he spent two weeks straight locked in his room learning to play the accordion then forgot about it and only used it twice more in his entire (after)life. And also like random 3am searches on google which led to his whole "there are no accidents" rant at 7:05. And then he realizes he actually said something smart and looks excited. ADHD people tend to be very intelligent surrounding things that they are interested in. Plus, how he's probably really zoned out during the Fall Fair performance. Not to mention his completely insane inner fantasy life. His personality does actually feel pretty ADHD to me. Also this interaction at 9:15, like the entire conversation but also that line about the sale. Also, him being the only one to notice the timer and pointing it out at 12:16. (If all you know about ADHD is stereotypes, this paragraph won't likely make any sense to you because ADHD is highly misconceptualized). Sorry if this doesn't make sense.
this but i think retro video gaming is his special interest, his social cues not being on par with everyone else, his thoughts of grand adventures outside of expectation, this man is autistic.
@@JaymiNotJamie it’s quite possible he could be both. I can’t speak to him having autism, because I do not, but people with ADHD quite often have more than just that, such as autism or anxiety.
to be fair to noel, dying like that with what you wanted was basically the exact opposite, having your funeral to be again, what is the opposite of what you wanted, is tragic. like his life was sad in a way. not french movie sad, but an all too common sad
"nah I feel bad for her should we do that thing we did when we were younger and one of us was upset so we would sing happy birthday to them" "yes dibs on party hat" "ugh fine but I wanna light the candle" "no I'm lighting it I'm the oldest" "that is so not fair" "get that cloak cape thingy idk" "can you light the cupcake and I give it to her?" "if you're careful then yes" "thanks" "what about me" "you can start singing" "okay" "wait she doesn't have a name I can't sing that you imbecile" "idk make something up then??" "i have a song for this very occasion can I sing it" "no stfu that's Ricky's job not yours" "ricky sweetie will you let me sing my song?" "but that's my job-" "i'll tell mom about that comic book you bought the other day" "...i hate you ocean" "shut up ocean she's here"
Really? Jane is giving me the vibe of the one who went away to college and comes back every break and secretly she's just as chaos personified as the rest of them but never shows it because she was the parents' guinea pig.
Ok but like, the scene of Mischa and Noel drinking together: do you all know the cool older sibling that encourages you to party and buys you alcohol on you 16th Birthday (my counties legal drinking age)? I feel like that’s Mischa in this scene
update: these ages i listed actually could be accurate!! in a playbill, the characters ages were listed as Mischa- 18 Constance- 17 Ocean- 17 Noel- 17 Ricky- 16 Jane- Unknown Pretty neat!! They have canon ages!! - Original Comment: NO BC I LOVE THE IDEA OF THEM ALL INTERACTING LIKE SIBLINGS ASSUMING THEYRE ALL SENIORS (we know oceans 17 and thats it) I WAS ABLE TO LINE UP THE AVERAGE REGISTRATION DATES FOR STARTING SCHOOL, AND APPLY IT HERE, ASSUMING THAT THEY START AROUND AUGUST-SEPTEMBER OLDEST TO YOUNGEST CANONICALLY WOULD BE (ONLY IF THEYRE ALL SENIORS) Mischa- August 18th Constance- November 14th Ocean- December 22nd Noel- March 5th Jane- April 7th Ricky- June 5th I THINK ITS SO FUNNY BC HONESTLY NO MATTER HOW YOU LINE IT UP, CANONICAL OR NOT, IT SOUNDS RIGHT
fam, idk where you live but Canadian schools don't work like that at all. Say you were born in 2003. Almost all of your classmates will also be born in 2003 (some may be 2002, if their parents decided to hold them back). It doesn't matter where in the year you were born. So Noel would be the oldest, then Jane, Ricky, Mischa, Constance, and Ocean. Ocean COULD be the oldest (if her parents held her back a year) or it could be Mischa (if he stayed back a year due to immigrating).
@@rivers3857 i’m canadian!! that’s really weird!! where i go + most if not all surrounding schools have a certain date you have to register your kid by and have them be a certain age when putting them in school (the main criteria is they have to be four/five by a certain date or they have to wait until next year) most classes are mixed in years they’re born!! the oldest would usually be born in early September or late August, since the registration date is usually late August. (Most of our schools start after Labor day, but some are an exception)!! Meaning there’s a high possibility of kids to be born in say,, 2003 as an example then, anyone born after dec 31, 2003 would of course, be born in 2004, and generally on the middle/younger side but not quite the youngest possible depending on if any spring or winter birthdays occur in a class. The youngest kids are usually someone born in late May/ early June, as it’s the end of the school year and if they were any younger, wouldn’t be in the current grade they’re in, since there’s a certain age you have to be to register. Most of the schools in our district and surrounding districts use this, and I haven’t heard anything different which is interesting! But yeah, we take kids beyond being born in December which is pretty neat!! :) Edit: but yeah!! it doesn’t just stop at the year and go off of the year you’re born in, it all depends on how old you are between the like August-June when you first start school!!
@@rivers3857 That's true, in my last year of Casa (kindergarten but for Montessori schools, which for those who don't know is a weird type of private school) I was held back due to my parents and school making a decision almost solely based on my emotional maturity and late November birthday. I am a full year+ older than every kid in my grade with a December birthday. It's kinda funny the age gap. the like next oldest in most of middle school was a February kid, so like three months younger than me.
Thats how British schools are too!! Our school year is a mix of 2004/2005, therefore Mischa would be the oldest. Tbh I think it makes more sense with that age order, I always see mischa as the oldest, but then again I'm not Canadian so idk
@@rae5602 I was talking with some friends, and they say it’s like that in America too! Even if the grades are labelled different and separated different from here and Britain, I’m pretty sure the whole aging is the same!! Very common system. Mischa does seem like he would be the oldest! He radiates that kind of energy. Very protective likely. :]
for nobody who asked, "What The World Needs" is in 1.5x speed, so for a low quality version of the full song, go to settings and put it to 0.5x, you're welcome ;)
Posting this part by part! Ok. I just decided to redo the entire ride the cyclone for this. That means ages too. Wow. And random stuff. Half of this is kinda serious, half, not so much Virgil (the rat) and karnak are the parents. But Virgil wanted a divorce, and Karnak died. That’s why he’s there, wherever the Choir is. (NOTE from future me: DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IS IS TO WRITE SERIOUSLY ABOUT VIRGIL BEING A PARENT!?!?!) NOEL: Noel graduated high school and is actually soon to be 19 years old. Unfortunately, the family is poor, and there is not enough money to send Noel, let alone the other kids, to college. That’s why Noel is working, because he wants to go to college in France. France to him is everything Uranium isn’t. Noel will finally have the freedom to do as he pleases, and live life to what he deems the fullest; whilst not being held down by his siblings. Noel can’t be himself in uranium, to the point where he can’t love who he wants to love, and France will give him all of that. Noel wants to escape from Uranium, and the pressures given to him by the family. Noel was not a planed child, and Virgil and Karnak (don’t question how a rat and a haunted machine can make children.) didn’t really know what to do. They kind of left him to his own devices, which made him try to find out more about his parents cultures. So when he was four, in order to find out more about Virgil, he watched Ratatouille, and that’s how he became obsessed with France. When the other siblings were born, Noel filled a third parent role, as Karnak and Virgil were always fighting. They were only still together for the kids. Ok. I just decided to redo the entire ride the cyclone for this. That means ages too. Wow. And common stuff. Virgil (the rat) and karnak are the parents. But Virgil wanted a divorce, and Karnak died. That’s why he’s there, wherever the Choir is. NOEL: Noel graduated high school last year, is 18 years old. Unfortunately, the family is poor, and there is not enough money to send Noel, let alone five kids, to college. That’s why Noel is working, because he wants to go to college in France. France to him is everything Uranium isn’t. Noel will finally have the freedom to do as he pleases, and live life to what he deems the fullest; whilst not being held down by his siblings. They kind of left him to his own devices, which made him try to find out more about his parents cultures. So when he was four, in order to find out more about Virgil, he watched Ratatouille, and that’s how he became obsessed with France. Noel kind of fills a third parents role in the family, due to the fighting between Virgil and Karnak. He’s very protective of Ricky because of the entire disability thing. When, yet again, Virgil and Karnak couldn’t handle parenting a kid, Noel was the one to explain to the other siblings when they were confused about it, that “Ricky is ummm.. Special? He thinks differently.” (Probably how he explained to Mischa and Constance- badly) (More explained in Ricky’s blurbs) Noel is often the one to stand up to people when they bully Ricky, and has basically said “I’m taking this one” he also took Mischa, but Mischa is himself and nobody else’s. Noel makes sure Ricky is ok, and is a toned down Virgil. (Who is the exact stereotype of paranoid parent who wraps their baby in wool. Always fussing over them. A bit, quite a bit, more than they should.) He is the closest with Mischa. (Not projecting at all my own family dynamics here… or trying to rewrite what I normally Ship into a Family AU) Noel often helps Mischa with school, and Mischa is the only one Noel has to talk to (he’s not close enough to Constance, Ocean is a no-no, and Noel has just always thought that Ricky had some mental stuff that would stop him from listening… or he just doesn’t understand disability.) people who don’t know them sometimes think that Mischa is older (to Mischa’s delight- yeah he is unnecessarily happy about that). Because he’s abnormally tall, and just acts older than he really is. Noel is not pleased. Noel is terrified of the idea of Talia. He’s convinced Mischa is talking to a pedophile. Mischa tells him to mind his own business. He doesn’t really talk to Constance. She’s just kind of there. He finds her cool and all. The reason Noel doesn’t like Ocean is because he watches Virgil (and Karnak when he was still alive, put effort and time into raising a child, when they were never there to do that for him. He sees her as a spoilt bratty kid who takes affection for granted. (Jane will be talked about at the end)
RICKY: Ricky is in his Junior year of high school/11th grade, and is 16 years old. (NOTE: Yeah, I don’t understand disability’s to to well, so sorry if this comes off as offensive) Ricky was born at the peak of Virgil and Karnak’s relationship. The two of them really wanted to be parents, and this time be really prepared. Unfortunately, when Ricky was 2, not only did doctors find Ricky’s thing that makes him unable to talk and stuff, they also found out he has Autism and ADHD. So Virgil and Karnak struggled to raise him, as well as Noel, plus later Constance and Mischa, but by the time he was Six and couldn’t speak, Karnak gave up. He couldn’t deal with it. This led to Karnak being very absent, and Virgil becoming hyper careful of Ricky (NOTE: ok, the Virgil and Karnak stuff is by FAR the weirdest. I would write more about them, but I’m on an iPhone right now, and don’t want to type that much.) Ricky tried to reach out to Noel, but Noel never really seemed to understand how human Ricky was. Like he kind of treated him like a four year old kid. A baby you love a lot, but not somebody capable of being as complicated as ones self. Mischa and Ocean also followed in this mindset. Ocean because everybody made Ricky seem like he couldn’t do anything himself, and Mischa just agreed with whatever Noel said. Constance, however, was the one who understood Ricky. They were pretty close, especially when Ocean was being a jerk. But even still, Ricky was so lonely. That’s what made him start thinking about space cats. He was obsessed with both, and when he grew up, that’s when the other stuff happen in it. (Like having sex with the cat humans)
THE TWINS: CONSTANCE AND MISCHA Constance and Mischa are now in the 9th grade (first year of high school). They’re both 14 Despite what some people who don’t know the family think, Constance is the older twin. Quite often in arguments with Mischa, Ocean will point this out. Nobody really knows why. It’s actually just to annoy Mischa. Back with Virgil and Karnak being bad parents! The two of them had a strain placed on their relationship by Ricky’s disability (plus a random 4-5 year old child demanding they go to France) so they were trying to have a “let’s save the relationship baby” they got two. Spoiler alert, don’t do this. Constance became the quieter sibling. Around this time, Karnak got concerned about his oldest child, as His kindergarten age son was now watching French romantic movies. Pretty soon, baby Constance and Mischa were proper there in their baby chairs (by Noel) watching too. Constance actually likes them, and will sometimes watch it with Noel. Constance played with Ricky a lot. They were both interested in space. So a lot of rockets. But as they both grew up, it became harder for 8 year old happy child, to not be running around. And Ricky could never talk back. Which left Constance with Ocean. Like Noel became kind of parentlike to Ricky, Constance became to ocean. Their friendship consisted with Ocean trying to have a happy friendship with Ocean while teaching her about the world, while Ocean made her play dolls. Ocean thought Constance was just there to care about her, and Constance was looking from a friend. Constance is the biggest on the whole family thing, and was the one that wanted to ride the cyclone, because it would be Oceans, (and Jane’s) first time on a roller coaster (the fair never comes) Mischa was the louder twin. He displayed his distaste for the French movies as soon as he could talk. Karnak got a call from work from Virgil telling him his toddler was watching the saw franchise and Noel was crying in the corner. Mischa watched those movies out of spite for Noel. They he began to like them. Between the movies and his sibling or choice being 5ish years older than him, Mischa tends to attempt to act older than he really is. Constance and Mischa also get along great. They are the prankster gangsters of the family. Everybody else knows to worry when the two of them are whispering in the corner. They also have their fair share of inside jokes. Yet Mischa would much rather be with Noel (and more recently, his phone to Talia) So they don’t talk to much. Speaking of Talia, Mischa “met” her two years ago, one his Bad Egg RU-vid comment wall. To him, he finally has a girlfriend. But Noel, Ricky, and Constance, believe that he’s being catfished by a pedophile who lives in Alaska. Ocean just thinks that he’s making her up
OCEAN: I don’t care what you guys think, Ocean is a fifth grader. She is still in elementary school, and is 10 years old. She will brag about doing well on her assignments, but nobody cares because their really boring and written worse than Mischa’s stuff (because she’s 10) Ocean was also a save this relationship child. But the responsibility of raising yet another one, is what made Karnak start drinking heavily again, and then Virgil finally got a divorce. Ocean looks at the rest of her family and thinks they turned out pretty bad in her POV: 1) hopelessly obsessed with France with no money to do anything and will be stuck in Uranium forever, 2) because he can’t talk, or walk without his crutches, everybody fusses and treats him like a lesser human. 3) happy girl, not achieving anything. 4) is such a lonely loser he made up a girlfriend. So that’s why she pushed herself into school. Because that’s what she was told would make her a successful person. That’s all she knows. Ocean considers herself the best of her Siblings, and is kinda a bratty kid. She does love Noel, he’s just always been kind of hostile to her, and with the big age difference, it would have been hard for them to be friends anyway. Ocean paints Ricky’s nails, and will speak to him for hours on hours telling him absolutely everything about her day. Ricky enjoys having somebody there, but wishes that she wasn’t quite as self centered. Ocean thinks he’s a nerd. Ocean and Mischa don’t really talk much, and it often ends in an argument. Once ocean declared that she was the queen of the family, and Mischa tried to put her into a homemade guillotine. Virgil was not pleased. And Mischa was grounded. Ocean and Constance are pretty close. Ocean basically just does the same with her as she does with Ricky, except Constance is expected to answer back, and give advice (the advice must agree with Ocean) when they were 8 and 12, they both dyed their hair pink, and tried to catfish Mischa. When they next saw Mischa, he told everybody that he had a girlfriend. They both started laughing and told him it was them, and he was like “your Talia?” And ocean was like “who the f is Talia?” And that how they found out about Talia, and Ocean said her first swear word. She took a long time to do that. AND FINALLY: JANE/PENNY Jane is not part of the family. Virgil is part of a mom group for parents with disabled children, and told everybody “hey all of you are taking this nice girl Jane with you! She has autism like you Ricky! Maybe you can be friends!” (NOTE: yeah, Virgil is THAT kind of mother to people with Disability’s. It annoys Ricky sometimes.) The five of them all just stared at her in confusion. Then Virgil said “I said she’s going. Take the car, here’s money for tickets and food, and Noel, for gods sake, don’t try to teach Mischa to drive.” So that’s why Jane was there. And about Noel’s lament where Noel and Mischa ummm😳….. yeah they were originally from Alabama, and moved when Constance and Mischa were 3/4ish, Ricky was five or six, and Noel was eight or nine. And somehow somebody was pregnant with Ocean. Thank you for your time.
I see them all as siblings aside from the fact that Mischa and Noel kissed pretty sensually. I kinda see Mischa as the boyfriend/in-law the rest of the siblings just accepted as one of them.
@@rivers3857 ohhhh, ok. if it wasn’t in canonical order, this is what i think it would be: oldest Noel Constance Mischa Ricky Ocean Jane/Penny youngest idk jane just gives youngest vibes lol, her little waddle and stuff
I headcanon their order as: Noel Constance Misha Ricky Ocean Jane I think of Ocean as a second youngest that's lowkey jealous of Jane, the youngest, innocent kid
All members of the choir as siblings from youngest to oldest: Ocean Ricky Jane/Penny Misha Constance Noel As the oldest child who is also queer I am proud that Noel is also the oldest, Jane and Ricky are also interchangeable
I love how in the beginning, ocean is normal, Constance is “I’m just here”, Ricky is extremely bored, Mischa is “I wanna go home bro”, and Noel is having the time of his life
