basically jane doe is anonymous and wants an identity and ricky suggests the name savannah because it was a “name he’s been saving up” the point being jane doe deserves a hug
That moment is the single moment that has stuck with me through the Musical because it feels like someone not only truly hearing Ricky for the first time, but also responding in kind in his language. Someone finding the same joy of identity and belonging in fantasy. And the way Ricky LOOKS at her as he sees someone who finally GETS it, it just... Oooooogh. Good shit.
Ocean: Is everyone’s song going to have profanity in the chorus? Mischa: Mine will only have profanity in the chorus. Also Mischa: *sings about the love of his life with no profanity whatsoever*
0:56 The way I watched this musical three times and never realized this before now (spoilers for those new to ride the cyclone) ALSO I AM VERY SALTY THAT KARNAK DID NOT NAME JANE SAVANNAH AS SHE WAS ENTERING THE AFTERLIFE DID THAT SCENE WITH RICKY MEAN NOTHING TO YOU KARNAK
its because he didnt name her! penny lamb was her actual name, theres a prequel musical (legoland) with a pre-death penny (jane) with her brother, ezra. all karnak did was make it so she survived the accident this time - she was still the same person, she still got on the coaster like the rest of the choir, but unlike them she lived this time. her parents didnt come forth to claim her as they were both in prison, and i dont believe minors (like her brother) are allowed to claim bodies, and as such she became "jane doe".
i've been absolutely obsessed with this show for about a week or so now, i'm so so happy i found out about it 🥺 i love all these dorky kids so very much constance vibing to the music at 1:55 is so hilarious and cute ahh...she must be protected at all costs
@nigelbottom496 First of all, stay in your lane and close your mouth. I wasn't talking to you or anyone in particular. Second I have a right to my opinion on a public message board whether you like it or not. If you don't, that's too damn bad. I think you need a class on emotional fragility because my opinion wasn't directed by anyone in particular. So what ever baggage you may have. Keep it out of my face.
@Kian-hq1gh If you read the post correctly, you would have noticed that it was indicated that my original post was directed towards a specific individual, which it wasn't. Not only that, but it was done very rude, resulting in my response. You totally missed the point of my second response.
