Haha my boyfriend is very different in gift giving. Buying a flower is nice but he actually took the time to grow me a sunflower! Not only that, his first gift to me was cheesecake he made from scratch. He also has a lot of piercings and gave me one of his earrings. And then also a piece of obsidian because we're both nerds and bonded talking about geology. And recently he made me a teddy bear. Not a build-a-bear, no, he got fabric and his mom's sewing machine and made me a teddy bear! Got to stage eight, he put a ring on it already, Iʻm happy but now he wants to take over my hobbies, no dude keep your own hobbies and Iʻll keep mine, he takes almost all of the hobbies Iʻm interested and excels at it. My competitive side comes out and sometimes I canʻt hold it back and I get really pissed at him for doing that. But when I called him on it he said, "Well its not just your hobbies anymore its ours" and I was thinking to myself "when did this happen?". Hehe oh well I guess I need to either be supportive or just Improve my skills in my hobbies, Iʻm so gonna win at "our" hobbies. Damn.

Is it weirs that me and the guy i like never talk on the phone. He texts me often and we have great conversations, but his voice just doesn't work over the phone. Normal voice is a lazy low pitch surfer boy tone and over the phone i just can't understand him at all. Besides, i prefer texting to calling because it less maintenance and lasts longer. A i hour chat basically spread over a full day feels alot more loved then only talking for that one hour. When we are actually together though we do talk face to face, although because i'm more nervous irl the conversations are always just bits of small talk.
