OMG - u are so right but u didnt even know it. I have been basically "married to my job" for the last 7 years. Signed a contract, held up my end, received stellar evaluations, worked my ass off (VERY physical job) wore my body out (2 operations & broken pinky but I never told them at work bc I didnt want them to think I was setting up a workers comp case). Then I finally reach the coveted "top pay" slot, received two checks & was laid off due to "reduction in force" while my male counterparts (with extra incomes) were kept on (hired the same exact day as me) So Ive decided "Im done" taking my issue to the state & beginning a lawsuit. The layoff was the last straw in a long list of relentless harassment. Now I have to seek work on my own & start over at the bottom (at 47 yrs old) but ur reading gave me hope. 'New beginnings" & a "legal issue" is just what I needed to hear . . . and yes I am divorcing myself from that organization. So this is all good news for me.
