I’m just a guy, a guy who came down and stayed in a hotel room at #budnmarys with his kids for his daughters 19th birthday. At the same time we are just normal people, yet I can tell you we left feeling like part of a family. Our first night we checked in around 6pm and had to take a walk around the property. We saw all the charter boats and even a few mates setting/rigging up for the next days charters. To wake up and walk out your room and watch the captains of the charter boats meet and great the people going out fishing really brought it all into prospective. The sunrise was amazing, the boats leaving the dock to try their luck at sea and to be able to scratch the surface of the history of their lifestyle was awesome! We got to meet The Bean, Jamaican Mike and the crew around the show. It was incredible to say the least, but she wanted to just say hello to Nick. The next day we actually got to meet and say hello to #Stanzfam and it absolutely made her birthday weekend!! Watching this video was absolutely epic and it allowed us to be a part of the LEGEND at hand! I can’t explain the feelings we had so much with words but the experience of being there and seeing it first hand was 100% priceless. Thank you Capt. Nick and all the crew at Bud N Mary’s for the unforgettable time we got to share at your establishment! It was definitely the best vacation experience to date!! Now i understand why you do what you do!! Awesome video Capt Nick, keep’m coming!!

Ive been to Bud and Marys a hundred times and met him several times, his family and everyone that works there is just as humble as Nick, best damn bait shop it town!
God has Blessed your Family. Been going down to B-M's since I was a kid. Graduated from Miami Palmetto in 78, just when y'all took over. I haven't been down there since my wedding honeymoon in 92. But I have the memories of a lifetime of fishing in the Keys. The old Jewfish Creek and the Cardsound Bridge cat walk when it was very skecky walking on the broken wood planks. My Dear From folks raised 13 Children fishing when ever we could. For us it was shopping for dinner. Watched Gables by the Sea being built, and we would ride our bikes to Snapper Creek Channel and the fishing was great. My brother who passed away at the age of 27 from a bad heart condition worked for Mel Shapiro at Tackle World in South Miami making coustom Rod's for all the old baseball players in the seventies. So many great memories. I was just down in Homestead to help my eldest sister, and I don't even recognize Miami anymore 😔 Some day I'd like to get back down there and fish again. When you grow up fishing salt water, the so called fresh water fishing in Gville just ain't the same. When I first moved to Gville I went to Cedar Keys Food Fest, All that they were serving was mullet 🤔. That's the bait 🤣🤣🤣 Lost too many friends who grew up in the Keys from drugs and alcohol, so Yes Y'all's are very Blessed with a Good Family 🙏 Viva Cristo Rey
Not many people get to fish with Mr. Richard or Nick. Can’t believe I’ve been with both. Mr. Richard is still incredibly passionate about the sport. Had the honor of fishing with him and Mr. Vic Gaspeny one day swordfishing. Such good people.

This is crazy! Great video but I can't explain why I had saltwater. Building up in my eyes in that last couple scenes and I live nowhere near the coast. Love Nicks videos and look forward to the notification bell going off telling me I'm taking a break from the day and going fishing with Nick. Well done!!
Amazing, makes me wish I had grown in a family that fished more. Now that I have kids I want to get them into it so now it’s on me to do that if it’s a passion. Great video.
Truly amazing story Nick. You have been blessed. Sorry to learn of the loss of your good friend. I can only imagine how difficult that must have been.
