Fact dump: The Sar Fox franchise only has one spin-off, and that is Star Fox Guard, a tower defense game starring Slippy and his uncle. It was only available as a bonus physical disc in Star Fox Zero's first print, and then later as a digital download on the Wii-U eShop. Nintendo and Jakks Pacific teamed up to create a whole line of Nintendo toys and action figures. One line featured the Star Fox team, Fox, Falco, Slippy and Peppy. In true collector's mindset, Jakks Pacific released a "Prototype Edition" Fox McCloud figure as a rare variant. Ironically, however, Falco is the most scarce of them all. I'm not even sure if they released a Prototype Edition of Falco, since Fox's Prototype is marked Series 2-2. In an interview, Shigeru Miyamoto debunked the metal legs theory by stating they wear boots. Nintendo hosted Super Star Fox Weekend all over North America and Europe to promote Star Fox before its official launch, which was a competition for the highest score (similar to the Donkey Kong Country competition). Prizes for winners included a Star Fox/Super FX t-shirt, a bomber jacket and a grand prize of either a trip for four to London, Paris, Sydney or Tokyo, or $15,000. Surviving competition cartridges are among the rarest in the SNES/SFC library.

Hey everyone, I'd really like to thank you for the fairly positive reception this video has received so far. That said, there are enough genuine flubs, points I missed having been further explained and, of course, Dinosaur Planet being officially released, that I'll likely be making a Part 2 to this video within the next month or so. If you have any insight as to what I could improve from a production or research perspective, by all means post them here.

So there's two kind of weird entries I'd like to add: 1. Fox's fur color So without looking at anything or thinking, what do you immediately answer when I ask you what color Fox is? Brown? Yellow? Tan? Orange!? Yeah weird right? They just couldn't agree on a consistent design for the guy. A joked headcanon of mine is that he just simply has more of a "tan" in games lol. 2. The Arwing Segments in Adventures were only added to trick consumers and ruined the game more. This is a theory I've always had to myself. It seems blatant that the only reason they were added was to go like "Haha no this was always normal Star Fox game, not something else before haha

I don't know anything about Star Fox, but this seemed interesting and the video was still a lot of fun to watch! Great job! Your excitement for Dinosaur Planet made me really happy haha!

Star Fox could be a golden opportunity for Nintendo to try something new instead of just giving them another game, why not give them their own show or maybe a new comics series, they could try to make it a little bit like Sonic the hedgehog of expanding their franchise of having more new characters, new worlds to explore, improving their characters designs, personality, give them their own origins, as well as giving them character development as the story goes on, and rewrite the story like, in Star Fox Adventures, I wouldn't make Krystal be a damsel in distress when she was trapped in a magic crystal until Fox saves her at the end of the game. I was thinking to make her the main character in the story when she meets Fox for the first time, but she didn't like him at first because he was a stranger on her second home planet, and she tried to kill him because of misunderstanding, then they work things out, and decided to work together to accomplish their goals while also getting to know each other more. Star Fox is basically a mash-up of every known Sci-Fi film and shows that's ever been made, why can Nintendo expand on their franchise instead of focusing on Mario, Link, Pokemon, and Smash Bros?

This is a pretty amazing video. Nice job. As a big Kirby fan, I guess you wouldn't mind some more info about the Dark Matter race. When it comes to them controlling technology, it might be possible(?) In Kirby 64, we do have two mechanical bosses though I am not sure if they are being controlled by Dark Matter or not however, we also have Star Dream from Kirby Planet Robobot, which is a powerful yet malevolent me chine that possibly influenced by the dark matter race, along with the other soul forms from the Kirby series though in Kirby Star Allies, it is revealed that Void Termina is the predecessor to not just the Dark Matter but also Kirby himself. Not sure if this info helps out in anyway and if any other Kirby fan here sees any errors in the comment, please let me know and correct me.

god, I hope the rom of dinosaur planet get's "finished" and is dumped on an n64 repro cart for people to buy, similar to 40 winks n64. I would buy that shit in a heart beat. Genuinely curious, who else would really want to see that?

23:37 Fun fact: General Scales does this in one of the first cutscenes in Dinosaur Planet, so thats probably why he can do it here. When removing that custcene, they must have just not cared that it disestablished he could do that

After the destruction of Cerinia, Krystal set out across the galaxy, tracking the one responsible. She finally caught up with him on Sauria, but before she could do anything, he trapped her inside a crystal, because Nintendo is subtle. Once released by Fox though, she immediately recognizes her target again: Andross. Andross destroyed Cerinia, and Krystal tracked him to Sauria. She should have been the protagonist of the game. She should also be in Smash.

This was a really good video. This deserves more more views. Now I'm interested in star fox again and really hope Nintendo gives the games a chance.

Pretty good job! Could have done without the joke content and more regarding unused content (like the dinosaur villain intended for SF2 or playable Octoman in Command), but this is definitely a decent iceberg!

For "Ancient Aliens" I can make a few slightly educated guesses. On some planets you visit, there are obvious signs of ruins and temples, in 64 alone there's Aquas, Titania, and Venom as examples. Not sure if that's what's being referred to, but wish I had better knowledge to theorize.

The Saber Apparition is almost certainly a reference to the Wario Apparition from the Mario Iceberg that inspired the Every Copy is Personalized pasta

I would add 3 entries to the iceberg actually 1: Fortuna meant to be called Fichina in 64, it wasn't because of translation but in Command and 64 3D they corrected it, but now in the cannon because of Zero both Fortuna and Fichina are seperate planets (Fichina being what we're used to aka snowy plany and Fortuna being all in the sky) Side note before continuing, the next 2 entries are more like questions I ask myself about the franchise that I would really like to know the answer so if you got any info about it, please tell me. 2: Zoness before the pollution, we never see the true nature of Zoness, all thanks to Andross poluting the planet, I've heard somewhere that Zoness is also Falco's homeplanet but I dunno if that's true, but what Zoness looked like before the polution? Seeing how the land is, my best guess is Zoness would've looked like similar to Aquas since we don't see much land when we visit Zoness in missions (although there's a forteress because of Zero and a castle? Looking at guard...) 3: Is James really dead or not? Everyone says he's dead (not mentioning Peppy constantly annoying Fox about it...) yet, he appears in the true end of 64, he appears as a playable character in one mission of Command and also appears in Zero... and seemingly no one aknowladge his presence aside of Fox (well TBF also i Andross in Zero with his line: "Why don't you stay dead?") so... what mainly Fox sees... is it like James ghost or spirit? Or is he still alive but just... hiding?

one last thing i would add to the video and to the iceberg unless the creator added it,that being a scrapped star fox game called star fox arcade that was only in concept for a few months and silently cancelled,keep in mind this was around the time of assault so i have a quick theory, basically either assault was rushed due to this arcade game or assault was going to be a bigger game than it ended up being like that in story wise more missions were planned and possibly more story branches akin to 64 might've been shared across the 2 games just for food for thought?

Fun fact. Someone made a Half Life mod where it replaces Alyx with Krystal and VOICED BY THE OG KRYSTAL VOICE ACTOR.

Iceberg Videos are awesome, and they have more Informations, however I have advices to improve the Iceberg Videos: 1) Make Short Intro - Tell which Iceberg you would explain and tell Important informations. 2) Be concise during the explanation - Keep the right pacing and Don't make the Video too long. 3) Use a life meter to show your confidence during the Explanation - this helps during the last layers, and it's used in most of the Iceberg videos, for example the "Mario 64 Iceberg" of Mish Koz.

It would be really cool if someone found the original version of Croc that was being developed starring Yoshi and finally proved that Miyamoto is a hack piece of shit who doesn’t deserve half the recognition he gets.

Hmm, 40 minutes isn't much of an iceberg for me. When i hear iceberg i expect at least an hour, all the way up to a 4 hour HBomberguy rabbit hole. I would have loved a Starfox rabbit hole of significant depth to raise untold numbers of Rabb-fox-its, and no offense, 40 mintes is just enough time to make a jug of slow-waffles while blending 7 cans of cat food into a liquid that my cat will actually drink. I timed it. So, maybe with a longer video i could have gotten some laundry done, but it is important to put my cat food into a blender, because 1) picky cat wants liquid lunch, and 2) i bought 12 cans of füd that kibby won't eat. So, fun Starfox mini-iceberg, hoping for next time 90 minute video runtine, during which i can convert 3 cardboard boxes into a kibby kastle, complete with arrow loopholes, and a functional drawbridge (no moat, i want my cleaning deposit back)

Wait, the the internet being horrified of a cheese grater is based off of a image? I thought it was originally based off a text story on 4chan about a guy that got paid to hang out with a wannabe dirty film crew only to end up with a butt that would qualify as swiss cheese while crying about the horrible decision they made. I decided to look up the cheese grater image and I will just say it people are way overreacting over the image yeah it's bloody but it's not that bad, it's subpar compared to most stuff on the internet.

I've always felt the Star Fox adventure games are the greatest missed opportunity of the Nintendo line up. They dived into the adventure genre in the worst way possible by reskinning a completely different game. And then instead of backtracking the mistake for Assault, the canonized it when they should have rebooted it right then an there. Zero came eventually, but still. I feel like the best Starfox game has yet to be made. The slow pace of Adventures, the gameplay of Assault, and polish of Zero.

So you would have 7 pilots to choose from as they join you. Then Star Wolf could expand too. Nintendo would have a hit on their hands.
