To bad blizzard stoped making SC2 content and now all we can do is wait for SC3 which will prob take forever to be released since modern blizzard only cares about the money and the RTS genre just dosent sell as well as other kinds of games
@@uuamenator yeah, no. I know all about warhammer 40k, it tries wayyy to hard, and even at the best of times it still feels campy... Thanks for the tip, but I like warhammer 40k for it's own reasons. Re-reading this makes me realize that this feels kinda rude, but I meant to be humorous whilst being concise(yeahhh... that didn't work out, sorry)
SC1 was alien, dark and mysterious. The cutscenes were scary and gruesome. The Protoss were more mysterious than in SC2, the Zerg looked mean and less slimy. When I discovered it as a kid that mysterious and dangerous atmosphere intrigued me.
Ahhh SC1! A game where the pathing is so bad that a single marine could prevent your entire army from moving, Where you couldn’t move more than 12 units at one, Where the Terran AI would unironically try to nuke rush you every game, Where you need to have 400 APM to be considered average, And the reason you have permanent wrist and finger numbness due to spamming attack move every 0.01 seconds, And yet, I still love this game because *BATTLE CRUISER OPERATIONAL*
Main reason you can only move 12 is because the pathing would be so awful with more that it would turn most people off the game. Also, it's easier to balance a map around the fact that the player is restricted. Not to say they didn't do a poor job of it like with the last Terran mission.
Which was a notable improvement over Warcraft 2 where you could only control 9 units at once, which was a notable improvement over Warcraft where you could only control 4 units at once, which was a hu-uge improvement over Dune 2 where you could only select 1 unit at the time (without a mouse, if you were unlucky) and then pick an order from a list for it to follow.
I remember my mom obliterating me in LAN and made me have PTSD on Swarms in video games as the Zerg even now, she is 48 years old but still obliterates me in games like SC1&2 as the Zerg. Makes me wanna spam Stimpaks and die on one hit and Fenix being alive in SC2 is a nostalgicl knockout
I never understood the academy scream. With my brother it puzzled us a lot, we were like "are we hearing trumpets in the end ?" "Does that mean they experience on Zerg inside it ?" Then the internet age came, and we knew we were not alone
@@gnarkgnarkgnarkgnark1933 It's one of those lore-thingies where the Terrans are actually convicts forced to fight but to make them professional soldiers (Ghosts, etc) they get subjected to shitloads of drugs and brainwashing (those patriotic overtures). Didn't get it as a kid but then I thought "well they're just being given gruesome training" and then when someone pointed out the brainwashing stuff it was like "oh yeah, makes sense".
It's just out of the blue, this scream is from a famous Korean streamer source : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kUg7GXInzaI.html scream clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VznsB5_ZgFA.html
I love how this perfectly sums up the entire campaign in just a short 8 minute video. Like, you really, did a good job of just condensing everything. You gave us the entire campaign summary, you made it easy to watch, you made it short, you made it entertaining. You are a messiah.
It is a great video, one of my favorites on RU-vid now -- but honestly no, this isn't a very good summary of the campaign. Almost all the plot details are completely untouched for example.. as well as lots of the crucial moments in the gameplay. It's just a meme video (but a good one!)
@@theSato Tbf the plot of starcraft doesn't matter by this point, SC II basically made jim Raynor into a simp and made him a hypocrite (Unless you pull technicalities he has NEVER follow through on his promise to fenix.), Kerrigan went from Queen Bitch of the Universe into The Savior. Starcraft eroded himself.
That 4:58 cinematic is to this day, probably my favorite cinmeatic in any game of all time. It was just soo fucking iconic as a young kid watching that.
Japanese pilots: Flying figthers and bombers straight to the Allied vessals to cause massive damage and terror. Tessadar, The Zerg: Write it down! Write it down!•
Try Imperium Galactica 1 (both original and Open source version), they put a literal "kamikaze" command button on the battle UI for your use. And it was exploited to cheese the hell out of the 2nd level of the campaign which make the subsequent levels a lot easier. (Hint; target that biggest ships in the enemy fleet with that button, as only the biggest ships can carry ground invasion forces. No ground force = no invading your planets.) Aside from this cheese; fighters in that game are useless against the final boss anyway; *as their fleets will happily spam Undodgable Homing Nuclear Missiles at your fighters! Deleting them all in the opening second of the fight.*
This game is like what 23 or 24 years old, and yet people still havent forgotten this legendary game. Now I'm really starting to like my recommendations Also there is one dialogue from the Protoss that I'll never forget MY WIFE FOR HIRE
This game blew my little 8 year old mind and will forever be my favorite game of all time. also that sound track makes me feel things you people wouldn't believe .
I don't get why the Marine in the beginning spinning around saying "how do I get out of this chikensh*t outfit" really got me. But it does, really hard.
This is possibly my new favorite video on RU-vid. Thank you for bringing more attention to SC: Remastered. Feels like we've got a bump in players in the UMS/customgames community today!
Remember, don't cruise in the dark in a buggy on a distant planet with your buddy. You never know what poor fella's dog might eat you. Also, don't go claiming giant alien brain-like entities away from Earth into the Korpulu Sector and then get brutally murdered by a woman with behavioural problems.
Lol this is great, I actually can relate to General Duke, after I was fired from Amazon I was broken mentally and confused, The Teamsters union came to me similar to Mengsk, at UPS basically, saying join with us or keep loosing, it was a similar experience idk lol.
I love you man. I lost it at Korean commentators shouting "playgu ga!". Can't remember which match it was, but I remember watching it in the past 😂 My hazy memory tells me it was a plague vs. Nada science vessels.
It was never meant to be a 40k game. Warcraft (Orcs and Humans) was supposed to be a War Hammer Fantasy game but GW pulled out the last minute. Starcraft is its own thing, the only relation it has with 40k is that those two took inspiration from the same shit (Aliens, Predator, Starship Troopers etc etc), and yet fucktards will literally call it a 40k rip off lmao
Trying to get into rts games after spending your whole life playing hack and slash games, fps, and Pokémon, it's like learning a new language. The games look so fun but my brain can't compute the actions required. The video is funny, thank you for making it.
