I think it’s because she said I need to avenge my sister, not get revenge. They have very different meanings. Avenging someone, you only want the guilty to suffer. In revenge, you don’t care who gets hurt to achieve it.

It's almost ironic how a dongqi descendant was indeed the reason for the seal to be broken and force of chaos to be unleashed. And it wasn't the one people feared, but the one who was wronged and became blinded by her hatred and revenge.

This drama is like an addiction. It's one of the best Xianxia dramas I've ever watched.❤ The storyline, cinematography, costumes, OST... everything is so amazing and I have nothing but praises for the cast. Everyone did a great job. I was blown away by Li Lan Di and Chen Xing Xu's superb performance. Luke Chen and He Xuan Xin are also great in their characters. The chemistry between both couples and the way they stand by each other in every situation is great to watch and the bonding of the 2 sisters is very heart warming. I also loved the comedic aspect of the drama so much. Can't believe the drama has come to an end. I feel bad thinking about it.🥺

Honestly I can't blame Suzhi. Yetan and Chaofeng were able to let go off their hatred because they still had the people they cared about there for them. But for Suzhi, she has nothing left anymore. Her whole family died millennia back and the only reason she was able to go on for this long was in hope of seeing them again. And now she finds out that their souls were brutally extinguished. She cannot kill the perpetrator because the previous Heavenly Emperor is already dead so she decides on next best, the current Heavenly Emperor. But Yetan won't give her even that. Sure he lost his cultivation but he's alive while her whole family and clan is dead. Sure, she has Yetan and Qingheng but she knew these two for only a short while while her hatred has burned for much longer. So I can understand why she wants the world to burn too. Her clan was killed even when they were innocent so why should she sympathise with this world which killed them in the first place? Poor Suzhi... In the end she never found peace and her clan was never really avenged :(

I don't agree with you!! Like she did what the four realms blame their clan for. I hate that evil heavenly emperor but revenge is not just killing. He has no family no power left that is worse than being killed. I agree that she has no family left but she has qingheng who loves her wholeheartedly but at the end she just pushed him away. She is no good than those evil emperors who created chaos just for her revenge.

This is a good illustration of what pushing someone to the brink can lead to. All Suzhi wanted was to be reunited with her people but they were brutally destroyed twice by the Heavenly Immortals Emperor. I understand Suzhi's despair, all her hope for 10,000 years vanquished in an instant, she's all alone again and her one kinsman isn't supporting her in seeking vengeance for her people. I don't know if Suzhi could've lived with all this hatred inside her. She shouldn't have opened Guixu because that would destroy all people, guilty and innocent. If we were in her shoes, I wonder what we would do? Many won't agree with this viewpoint but I feel sorry for her, Yetan, and Qinkui. They were pawns in a greater scheme.

You know whenever an episode towards the end of a series starts with a strong but hurting character coming through a hard time and saying that they'll live well to repay the sacrifice of others...it's almost always like the biggest foreshadowing for a tragic twist to come :(

This has been a quality production from the start. The story is riveting and the characters draw you into the tale. The humour was great and didn't detract from the seriousness of the situations. Love this drama and the theme music is beautiful.

Suzhi for last 10ish episodes: Me and my people aren't bad. Doesn't get her way = Time to blow up the 4 realms. I know she's lost he people and being suffering for 10,000 years but hurting everyone because Yetan didn't go completely berserk an get the type of revenge she wanted isn't the answer.

@@vrgl8672 He was a POS, but he wasn't even the one that killed her people. He did stand by and watch his father destroy their souls... but he wasn't the one to do it. So, she was basically channeling something he wasn't responsible for onto his shoulders. Though he did try to kill the flower spirits and everything, still. He his just a scapegoat for her. If she truly wanted proper revenge, she would figuring out where previous emperors soul went and destroying it (better to destroy it in front of his son, POS emperor #2). Or she would wipe out his line and not just the whole 4 realms and all the innocent people. Plus, killing the very tree/flower spirits that her people died for to begin with... thanks for making their sacrifice worthless....

I didn't fall for her innocent face, sweet soft voice at all! I always knew there's something fishy about her from the moment she came on screen! She's not a good person. She's just a patient person waiting for the right moment to unlease the demon inside her only. She never showed mercy to anyone. Others may influenced u, but u are responsible for who u become. Quit blaming other people and circumstances for her evilness. Chaofeng's mom's whole clan was killed by his dad, but we don't see her taking revenge and killing the whole Void realm. An evil and selfish person will find and use every excuse to be evil and selfish. If others could push u to the point of being evil, it's only bc the seed of evilness was already implanted in u from the beginning.

ngl i cant even hate suzhi because it so justifiable. she suffered 10,000 years under the hands of the clan who murder her people. she was filled with hope when she met yetan,and qingkui believing that there was someone out there who was also from her clan, she respect them and didn't want to even reveal that they were related somehow, not wanting to drag them into her revenge, yet when she did, yetan promised her that they would bring justice to the dongqui clan and rid them of their blacken name, despite all this it was just an empty promise, a betrayal from someone who gave her hope.

btw is anyone wants to argue with me that she didnt care about yetan and qingkui, she literally did not say a word about them being part of the dongqui until it was forcibly revealed because of a LIFE AND DEATH situation and not to mention her face when she saw that qingkui was about to commit, in addition to all the things she had done for yetan when she was in the heavenly realm I would also like to say yes her hatred did blind her but if it didn't it wouldn't have made her such a great character. imagine being all alone for thousands of years, no one to rely on, and your only purpose was to bring justice to your clan. she had to witness her people, her parents, her friends DYING IN FRONT of her, and having to see the only thing that could revive her clan was destroyed, being told that the emperor crushed their souls so they couldn't reincarnate, who wouldnt be vengeful, to be able to forget all that and live a peaceful life would only make you a something worse than a human, all her suffering would mean nothing

It's no way justifiable, all those who wronged her got there respective punishment.. In this episode, she is no less of a villain then void tyrant, void empress and heavenly emperor, instead she proved to be even a bigger villain.. Edit : She did no favour to Yetan, then what Yetan did for her, Yetan stood for her, gave her a respectable place. Qingheng basically is the reason she is alive, he was the one who went against rule of heavenly realm to save her life when she was just a plant, whose life was hanging by a thread..

this drama has been amazing and FL grew on me eventually and they really did have chemistry in this episode .. even tho they did not kiss much either couple it still felt right in the end .. FL was rather awesome too.. cried buckets over SFL and SML it was very intense .. just one more episode ..

Suhzi is the perfect example of what happens when you push a person to their absolute limits. She doesn’t have anyone close to her anymore; no lover, no family, no kinsmen. Her friends are temporary and not as important compared to her clan. Her actions are justified in my eyes, why must you do good for the world if all it has done for you was evil? Sure it gave you friends and relationships but it didn’t allow you to get back the important thing to you. Suhzi ❤

the heavenly emperor and the void king from then sealed their own fate of doom by destroying the dongqiu tribe with impunity. they were blinded by their arrogance and prejudice and thought they could get away with careless massacres in the name of protecting the four realms. but now their descendants are having to deal with that very fate. and that's not because the dongqiu people were evil, but as a result of the injustice and pain caused by their own ancestors. such is karma. suzhi is blinded by rage and anguish. but why wouldn't she be? she has lost everything. she has seen her parents get brutally murdered. and unlike yetan, she didn't have her family, friends and a lover supporting her emotionally. she had to spend thousands of years dealing with grief and helplessness by herself. so it's too late for her to accept qingheng's love or apology and let those things comfort her. and after all this time, she learned that even the souls of her people weren't spared. I understand why she was driven to do such an extreme act of revenge. It's not right, but it's just right for her character. you simply can't make peace with what she went through. this only goes to show that the writers deeply understood and respected the motivations of each character. there aren't any flowery halfhearted conclusions. every conflict gets its due treatment. amazing!

Waiting for ep 39 to premiere in five minutes, I am left thinking of ep 38. Shuzi to me has nurtured the spirit of hate for 10k years and even if she justified, she has brought untold anguish to Chaofeng and Ye Tan. I feel that those who seek vengeance should do so themselves. She is still harbouring hate as if oblivious to the already High cost.

Brilliant scripting, direction, production and acting one climax after another! OMG was I so right about the deep hatred of Shuzi. I have never liked, never trusted her since she was Husui then a Coriander Fairy. Said she would bring unbearable heartbreak and for more than 10 episodes I have been on edge. When y’all come; come correct. Those people killed that girl whole family and even attempted to take her life too. She revived from the brink of death and was willing to compromise if she could get back the souls of her tribe. She did not go too far even if she had to use Tan’er and kui’er spirit. Tan’er promise to kill the emperor and avenge the death of her sister but in the end compromise because of love…that’s dumb right there fair is fair he made her twin committed plus watch hundred of guxui sole die he needed to pay with his life. People wish for an opportunity for a second chance at life Suzhi got it. She even had true love. Yet she chose to be blinded by vengeance. With what she has done, Dongqiu name might never be cleared. She's a toxic person for real. Just because she doesn't get what she wants.... Boom, she wants to destroy the world and using Yetan and QingKui for that matter, it showed she never cared for them. She only cared for her people and those two were the only shot she got so she just stuck close to them. People like her are parasites.

Agree 💯. If she had let go of her hatred and opened her heart to Qingheng, he would have made her empress of heaven when he became emperor of heaven bc for sure Youqin won't be emperor. Then she could have had the opportunity to clear her people's name and Qingheng would have helped her too. She had the opportunity to choose good for her and her people, yet she choose to make the calamity of her people come true. And bc of her selfish revenge, she dragged Tan into it and that's why Tan's calamity became true too, but bc Tan decided to sacrifice herself she changed her calamity into a good positive one.

They choose the easy way instead, that just leads to devastating consequences. Sacrifices like that are just meaningless deaths, cause the individuals death then meant they died for nothing. I understand why she's aggrieved.. But the world had nothing to do with the extermination of her tribe.. It's the Void and Heavenly empire that are the culprits.. So with her obsession to destroy the world to avenge her tribespeople, is unacceptable and intolerable.. I don't have any sympathy on her for such atrocity.. But on the other hand, she personally witnessed the massacre of her tribespeople with her barely surviving.. That would drive anyone insane.. That would cause anyone to be swallowed up by bitterness and hatred.. So I can't bash her because I don't know the pain she was feeling.. I mean, what kept her fighting to live for so long, was the hope that she might have the opportunity to revive her tribespeople, only to discover that all their spirits were utterly annihilated by a vicious emperor.. Holding on to that fine string of hope for so many years, that only cast her heart into the abyss.. From that moment, she had made up her mind that she was going to eradicate the whole world, especially when she saw that Tan didn't kill the heavenly emperor, and she knew that she wasn't powerful enough to kill him on her own.. This is a dilemma, because on one hand, I pity her, and on the other hand, i absolutely disagree with her wanting to destroy the world due to her hatred.. I didn't want her to die either.. But she had made up her mind to sacrifice everything and everyone when she found out that her tribespeople's spirits were all destroyed and when she saw that Tan didn't kill the heavenly emperor also.. But even if Tan did kill him, I think that she'd still want to destroy everyone with her in revenge.. It's sad!!

Suzhi is savage and evil. When they were running away from the Heavenly and Void people, and they encounter some Void soldiers, chaofeng let the soldiers go but Suzhi killed them. That tells me she's evil inside. She has no sympathy for anyone else other than herself and her tribe people.

Bc that's her father-in-law? The father of her lover and husband? If she killed him, Youqin will feel some kind of ways toward her and their relationship will never be the same. Sometimes forgiveness is the best route. U could either be like Yetan, forgive, and move on. Or be like suzhi and let revenge consume u to death.

Al mismo tiempo a pesar de que su resentimiento es perfectamente entendible, ella nunca supo cómo seguir adelante después de 10,000 años!! tenía todo para poder seguir adelante, incluso el amor del segundo príncipe celestial, quien irónicamente termina por convertirse en emperador, si ella le hubiera correspondido, él la habría ayudado a reconstruir Dongqiu y a limpiar su nombre. Ella es como un personaje transversal cuyas decisiones definen ciertas circunstancias que podrían solucionar el conflicto, pero que sólo pueden ocurrir si el conflicto persiste. I can't hate suzhui She saw all her Clansmen being massacred unjustly. It was not just the heavenly emperor and void tyrant. Everyone wanted their destruction like the emperor said. She barely escaped ,then had to cultivate for a millenia to be an immortal. She just wanted to help their souls to be free and clear her clans name. But they even destroyed that. When she finally found someone who could have empathized with her even a bit, they didn't keep their promise. At first she didn't want to even tell them about their origin seeing them happy with their lives and only awakened their powers to protect them. Yetan thought she was done with her revenge and spared the emperor for her loved one. From suzhui pov, her clans men worshipped and died to protect the twin flower but for yetan their sacrifice meant nothing. In the end they r just pitiful who died unjustly even for yetan, youqin or anyone else.She alone burdened it for a millenia. I don't expect her to stay sane after what happened. It cant be healed by love. They killed her clan for things they didn't even think of, so she will do it and make their hatred justified since bringing justice to her people from her pov is not possible
