Well as it was raining all day, I decided to fish the start of the flood in the evening and into darkness. Well the first of the flood way full of mayweed as expected, but the middle of the flood just usual red weed, pulling the gear around in a few minutes!

Been the same at Bacton for last few weeks till it clears out.. Humps and bums ( gulleys) and now the weed still good to be out and glad to see you giving it a good go

Cheers, the weed is very hit and miss, sometimes its horrendous, other times nothing.

Shame about the weed but at least you tried, you can't win em all but as you say, you've gotta be in it to win it, better luck next time mate, i think the hermits are some of the best baits i've used in the past, take care, Norfolk Ray

Yes, it was a nightmare, but we all have good and bad sessions. Hermits are good hound baits, maybe not as good as peeler for general species, but I get them as a perk in crab pots!
