I love your dad's chill personality, he seems so calm and collected, under all that pressure on a big day like that with the camera and bystanders watching his every move. What a nice guy, hope he enjoys the car.
@@valeriemorris7669thank you! He had so many great things to say about you all!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, my dad is so grateful. It’s nice to see so that good still exists in the world! And apparently I live right around the corner from your shop in NS. I’m on Mona Lake!
To get in any unfamiliar race car at the strip and go straight down the rack is daunting, and to have Steve Morris filming you as well would be unsettling for anyone, it's a lot to take in, well done Steve and Val you did a good job and what a prize!
If the gentleman never won anything else in his life, he could not have done better than he did with this car. Bravo to Steve and everybody involved!!!
Steve and Val, you guys are some of the classiest people in the automotive industry. This was not just a normal car giveaway. Incredibly cool to spend the time you did with Les and his family.
Loved the fact that Steve brought his family to help and Les brought his family for support. Loved this video! Les is truly the perfect person to get this car. Really hope he goes and wins some races with it.
Congratulations Les. For not having driven the car before, you did well with Sugar Mamma. May you and your family get many miles of joy, some 1/4 mile, some much longer. at a time. Sugar Mamma is in good hands.
With Les living rather close to Steve, I forsee a new friendship and that we will see this car following Steve along in future drag n drive events. That would be really cool to see this car in future videos.
The pressure of getting in a unfamiliar fast car for the first time and trying to do everything perfectly, anyone would make mistakes. For les not racing for awhile he's got to get back into the groove and learn the car, but I personally think he did great with all the pressure .
Les did a great job!! There's so much to keep up with in a car like that. And like so many people say, any track day you can drive away from is a successful one.
Steve, your a solid guy to take time out of your busy schedule to spend time with that family to give away what I think is one of the best giveaway cars of all time👍
The expression on Val s face is priceless. It s like on of her children is going to camp!. im sure she is glad that Les is a gentle soul he will take good care of the car!
Those who have not drag raced are not aware of the complexity of the ritual to burnout, staging and launch. Coming back to it after a few years, in a new car with more power and complex features makes a learning experience.
If I was going to win a custom/specialty car I would want to win it from Steve Morris. Seeing how he supports his customers after the sale, I wouldn't want it from anybody else.
I think Les did great, I think that he was just nervous and trying to take everything in. He's going to do great in that car after he gets used to it. Good luck Les, great job Steve.
I have a feeling Les's son and grand sons are gonna get into drag racing. Only after grampa gets a pass or twenty. Hope to see sugar momma out being enjoyed and not locked in a garage somewhere.
Once he gets used to the car hes going to have a blast. Hes a car guy, probably nervous, been a few years since hes been behind the wheel of a car like that. Plus his grand kids are gonna get to learn and enjoy it with him. Even if he never races it, i can guarantee he will always keep it clean and show it off. Such an awesome thing to see.
You know he isn’t gonna turn around and sell it and he’s going to cherish it till the end.

I don't care what your age is, that is so much information to take in, with cameras rolling, also. Race electronics, trans brake, shifter, super big loud horsepower, etc., is lots of pressure. From the beginning, to the end of this video, showed us a different Les. He will be fine.
Don't forget, Les has not driven for near a decade apparently. The video showed a lot of "rust" dropping off. Once he gets comfortable...... He'll be dialed in. I'm willing to bet, that first pass.... as he crossed the finish line...... HUGE GRIN.....
Les is quite but when you're learning your listening not talking. Guy has forgotten more than I learned last year! Hope you enjoy it or sell it back to Steve! Cheers from Colorado!!
That is Too Cool ! I'm Still Smiling for Les , Congrats Sir ! I know Damn well I would have done same thing , butterflies , people watching , new car , Excitement , I'm Smiling !
Good luck working out the details.... Have fun and use that car like it was built to run.. lots of jealous people out here wishing we were in your shoes!!!
In 70 years, I've never won anything in a contest drawing, etc. The only way I won playing blackjack in Reno during college was because my gf was dealer, & they showed us how to beat the odds. But, life is funny, & I've learned to listen to it. I had a feeling about Sugar Momma while watching one of your videos, so I did the unusual & bought a couple of shirts. But, like I said, life is funny. I pondered the what if. I'm still recovering from nearly 4 yrs of 3 cancer 'occurances' after being devastated, financially, by a brain injury at 50, which left me as a literal pauper. No complaints, I lived 3-4 lives in 50 years & have a shop & a World Series ring, (1988), w/ my name on it. Thought about how much Steve still wanted the car & decided if I won, I'd work it out to do Sick Week, then give the car back to Steve. (Already have 2 cars I need a shop for & no way could I afford to maintain Sugar Momma & pursue my current goals.) Life is funny, close but no cigar; sometimes you gotta step aside for seniority. Close, one letter off the last names & my Meghan has one more. Close... you're setting the bar for YT car giveaways; a sweet effing car, 15K & a day w/ you AT the track, which is priceless. You're a good man, Steve. GeoD
Congratulations Les,Steve, your an outstanding man,Sugar Momma is a outstanding car,I haven’t followed you very long but love your videos, your engine speak for themselves, love your wagon,it’s different than the everyday common Chevy II or Nova …. Great man and your amazing family 😊
What a great thought having him try it out, but yes it would make for nervous runs for sure! Thanks for doing this giveaway and doing what you are doing!
That so awesome, you can tell those boys are going to learn alot about racing watching Gramps get into the groove! Looking forward to future vids of Sugar Moma. Maybe the grandkids should start their own youtube channel just following Gramps and Sugar Momma. 😊
