Gotta love PM where a game mechanic is never just a game mechanic, Mirror Dungeon and Railway could be a simple gameplay thing with no relevance whatsoever for the story, and PM still decides to say in-story "Yeah those things exists and they do it in their spare time"
That dates back as far as Lobotomy Corp. Healing bullets? Theres a lore reason for that. Memory repository? Theres a lore reason for that PAUSING THE DAMN GAME? Theres a lore reason for that
"Canto is a principal form of division in medieval and modern long poetry" - Wikipedia So, Canto's were the "chapters" of the Dante's Inferno, with Canto I-III being a Prelude to Hell, and Canto IV is in Hell, specifically in Limbo. PM just made them into gameplay chapters, fun stuff
I think dante becoming curious can be seen as a good thing or a bad thing on the one hand telling him the truth may a heightened sense of purpose so he works harder but if he doesn't like the answer he might just start working reluctantly which would decrease his productivity but Dante's curiosity may play an important role in the future of the story assuming he doesn't give up his pursuit of knowledge.
@@monochrome4937 Actually, he can't. Yi Sang suffered psychological damage when he was sacrificed in the Doomsday Calendar story and he had to be sent to LCC for theraphy.
@@iaini8080 The abnormality Doomsday Calendar has an observation log like any other abnormality. The Sinner who penned this specific log was Yi Sang. You can find the abnormality in Thread Luxcavation to access their log or just look it up on the wiki.
you know the thing Faust says to Dante seems to imply he was probably some high ranking asshole who didn't care about other people dying or suffering for his own benefit (which to be fair is pretty normal for this world). so she's wondering how the og would react to his current self actually giving a shit about others for once. mark my words the day we get Dantes head back its gonna be the most heartbreaking thing in the whole game cuz we might permanently lose the pathetic yet loveable goofball that he is now.
There is a theory I read in regards to Outis, namely she is former A-Corp. This is heavily based around the fact that the earing she had is only seen before on 2 characters, Binah and Zena aka Arbiters.
I do acknowledge it as a possibility. But the real question is, why. Everything we know about her past is rather... un-arbiter like. Her 'Fixation' (like Sinclair with his home/Kromer, Rodion with the Tax Collector, and most importantly, Gregor) is the smoke war, in which her outfit is a military uniform, very different to the standard Arbiter dress. And while you could say she was 'undercover', the purpose of the Arbiters is to... well, Arbiter events. They're the Head's Hammer of Justice. Observation and espionage is B-Corps domain. Concidering we've never seen what Beholders look like, she could actually be one of those (we've also never seen a what a Claw looks like under their mask). And one last thing, is that there is technically a third character. Dias, the leader of the Udjat, who also has very similar features and mannerisms to Outis, dark skin, brown hair, much older than they look, eyes seem to glow when annoyed, played a important part in the smoke war leading an army, has a very kind sounding but cynical pattern of speech, and often feels like she's manipulating those around her, even when she's not intending to do so. Like, Dias is even a Greek name as well. If there is anything or anyone that Outis is related to, it's Dias and the Udjat.
@@ForgottenFafnir To clarify I don't think Outis is a former Arbiter, but I think she might have been a part of A Corp at some point. After all while the A-Corp likely didn't take a side they were probably there to at least observe and make sure that neither side stepped out of line in the war.
thats not the wierdest theory as i belive dante was also part of the head since from what remember the starting location where he was was close to the head and his abilities feel more lik a singularity than a distortion since somehow it can be upgraded with the golden boughs which function was linked to the l corp singularity+dante doesnt act like a distortion hes more sane than regular people in the city are
During the cutscene where Heathcliff wanders into the back, we see the Mirror Dungeon pathway (Left), Refraction Railway (Middle), and... the one from Leviathan on the right (Sorry I dont know how else to describe it). So yeah that's all Canon. Even the glass shattering effect whenever an EGO is activated is Canon. The final thing made Canon is that the rooms we saw in their opening trailers are their actual rooms. How Ishmael sleeps in hers I can't wait to find out
I always find it funny in cutscenes when in fights the sinners seem to always get their ass kicked with many dying yet it's usually after gameplay in which you dominate the enemy.
there are some moments in limbus - and especially in this chapter - where you can just tell pm is gonna pull something crazy I've finished this first part already so I won't spoil anything, just know you're in for a ride lmao
I'm yet to finish Chapter 4 but there are so many stages already available. I was thinking there'd be like 10 for part 1. But it looks like chapter 4 is gonna be the longest chapter by far. Which I have zero problems with this amount of content.
Man, I thought inquisitors were enough of difficulty spike (nail)... Oh boy, how f*cking wrong I was. I understand the casual player filters from Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, but chapter 4 really reminded me why so many of peeps I know dropped both aforementioned games at some point. Terrified for the difficulty level in future content.
@@mitacestalia7532 it makes you suffer. When they dared to mix Robots vulnerable to blunt with Fixers vulnerable to pierce I almost punched the monitor. So far chapter 4 brought me nothing but disappointment, both gameplay- (inflated strength of enemies, same way it was in Railway, even Sinners joked about it) and plot-wise (don't think anyone would enjoy such bruh moments and literally nothing happening for 20+ fights).
spoilers for the chapter if somebody hasn`t beaten it yet I only had problems with 2 fights - when you fight against robots and fixers at the same time and the one where you kill the rosespanner workshop rep. Both of the fights I beat in 2-3 tries when I just brought a team that had good resistances against the damage dealt and skills of the correct types for enemy weakness. Also, timely use of EGO with correct damage type helps. P.S. The IDs that came out recently seem like they were made to be used in this chapter. If you get them, use them because they are really good
This is a theory I have with very little to no evidence to back it up, but just the comments that Faust has made about Dante and Dante’s intuition about abnormalities, he might be a personality of, or even Ayin himself. I haven’t finished the chapter yet and of course there will be evidence for or against it in later chapters, but this is my current theory.
Pretty sure Limbus Company supposedly plannin on replacing L Corp Sinners is really only the smallest branch of them and kinda does function like fixers office tho,lol Considering entire Hell's Kitchen stuff XD But really tho,Limbus Company as whole seems to be much bigger than that from LCCB Idenity's entries and stuff like that
I wonder what the “Tear” in the brass bull’s ID mean So far for special endings to IDs we’ve had: A-D: possibly referring to Minion Abnos TE: ??? TEAR: I would assume this and some others are special states Abnos can be under, I theorise these could be linked with the sins as well (in this case gloom)
I have no basis for this, but what if the blue liquid dripping from the bull is SP restoratives. I believe they are also from K Corp, and it could be part of an attempt to either cure an abnormality pr it could have been someone having a Day in the City and driven to insanity despite what K Corp was attempting to do.
This chapter is truly making me understand why Netzach decided to run off to the Outskirts with that weird girl preaching in the streets instead of staying in K Corp's Nest
I just gona leave this since ive been thinking for a while Who is funding all of this who made limbus company or how the hell limbus has acces to ego only LB had that, it maybe sounds weird but, what if is angela that is behind limbus company, i mean if theres someone hwo can have ego fron the abnos and know where all the golden boughts are is her we dont know other person capable of that Also thanks to the sanity changes faust is gonna become way more important to the gameplay thanks to her ego lucky you tsunul
Dante note says that they don't have acess to Ego, they just use Dante power to overwrite the sinner with the identity of the abnormalitie for a while.
You say you can slap Don and win, did you forget how she wields a giant knights lance and has smashed people in the heads through and through with it, you sure you can take her on Well, tbf, can't blame ya, considering that she is probably easier to fight than Vergilius
