thanks for this playthrough. Been playing this game a lot lately. Love these type of games but I really suck at them. Love watching how different people tackle different obstacles in these games, keeps me motivated to keep playing and try new things. You are very good at explaining the mechanics, so thank you for that!

41:00 Reason your archers can't hit the Door Smashers, is you put the Merlons on wrongly. They should Overhang the edge of the wall, so archers can shoo straight down along it. Which you fixed after the battle. 👍👍🤠🌟👑

Good to see another Aussie stream this Gem of a game. @28:00 Only Pets can go down the Ladders, ie. trained Dogs and Cats, etc. You need to have meat for them to eat upon. I usually have an area near the butcher table for the carcasses, the pets will eat from them ;) I nearly forgot to mention also, those Merlons, you can stick out 1 square from the walls, they then enable Archers to shoot down through the murder holes and still maintain cover, ie. better angle closer to the wall.
Cheers David, only pets being able to go up and down ladders explains a lot. That's a great idea having a place in the kitchen for the pets to feed, you might of just saved the cats life. Thank you for the tips, I really appreciate it.
NEW PLAYER TIP: You need at least one settler's STEWARD set to 2, so Stoves, Campfires, Braziers, Torches, Kilns, and more can be refueled to keep them working. Tip 2: Set PRIORITY LEVELS for Stockpiles to High, and Shelves, to VERY HIGH. Why Very High for Shelves? They hold 3 tiles worth of supplies and resources. Also you select which resources you want on the shelf, so you can set up a Grocery Store like cellar if you want. 🤗 Tip 3: 19:12 Merlons go on the EDGE of Walls, so you can shoot straight down to defend doors. You can put cheap Wicker flooring on the wall top, and 1 till outside so Archer Settlers can move to shooting spots. 45:50 Perfect setting of Merlons for best defense. 👍👍🤴👑🤠
Fantastic tips odee, especially the tip about having at at least one settlers steward set to 2. I've been caught out far to many times not setting a settler as a dedicated steward, makes winter interesting.
