If not him I think renthrow who’s also cheaper than him and a lot younger is an option but Lockett is a guy that he’ll play as long as he wants because of the lack of big hits on his body over the years from getting down & not fighting for yac
@AyoWhatMyDogDoin and... Lockett reconfigured his deal to stay. There is no motivation on the Hawks side to move Lockett. This is one of those dumb ideas because Russ has a history with him and the steelers have a need so people are forcing the narrative.
You don't need an inside number 1 he can't see him. Not joking any thing over the middle Russ will not throw too. The amount of open routes over the middle Russ had but chose to take a sack is crazy and as a broncos fan I've had to rewatch over and over. Just get two outside guys and make the rest block if you don't believe me look at his Pass sheet for the last season almost all passes outside
Ur disregarding his past seasons and receivers hes throwing to there vs the ones hes going to be throwing to now. Hes played w lockett and he has a beast in george pickens vs just courtland sutton really.
True his receivers will definitely be better, but still Wilson's athleticism has gone down and he can't scramble out of the pocket as much to see his WR and he's still too short to see above some of the lineman
@@broncosfan99 he definitely can make plays w his legs still. Hes just not as fast so it will hold him back. However the thing w his height and seeing over the linemen doesnt matter. Hasn’t held him back throughout his career so theres no way its any different now. Hes gonna thrive w a solid line and good wrs hes not washed just needs a team surrounding him that can perform.
@@onyx_editz held him back in Denver. Yes the steelers have a much better team but Russ missed wide open receivers over the middle multiple times and would instead run out of the pocket or dump off when he could have gotten a lot more yards by just throwing it to the open TE. I like Russ and wanted to see him succeed and I hope he succeeds in Pittsburgh but he has limitations and if the Steelers can play into that and play into the pass action the broncos could never get going Russ will cook again, but If they don't then I think Justin Fields could be taking over. Just gotta see how the year plays out. Pittsburgh has a much better team than the Broncos ever did so that should be a good start
Metcalf has one of the best value contracts out of all the like top 15 receivers that have been paid recently with only $24 million a year average, I would say that’s the opposite of a “gigantic contract” 🤷🏼♂️
