Watching Crowder turn into a bumbling, insecure little man child within a matter of seconds realizing he's talking to Sam might just be the highlight of this year for me.

Here's the thing. Ethan was never going to debate him. He would never had taken it seriously. Steven should have known this, but he wanted to get an easy win because he can't actually debate anybody who knows anything. He said so himself, this would be an easy layup. So if debating is so sacred to him, why did he deliberately seek out a debate with someone he believed didn't know anything at all?

*Here's what's brilliant about this whole thing* for people who don't understand it completely: Ethan of H3 knew of the long-running meme of Crowder running away from debating Sam Seder on 2 different occasions in the past. And having his daddy help him hide. So Ethan's intent was to highlight that specific hypocrisy by saying "you'll happily debate me, an admitted idiot who isn't a political pundit and isn't politically savvy at all, but you have a long history of running from people who are really smart political debaters." Then BAM, much like Crowder hides behind his father, Ethan reversed it on him and he ambushes Crowder using the one guy Crowder's father's been helping him run scared from for years. Sam Seder. And then he made Crowder run away again. And it worked out brilliantly. Really a masterpiece in trolling honestly. He threw the hypocrisy of Crowder hiding behind his father back in his face by shielding himself with Crowder's arch enemy, Crowder's kryptonite. Sam Seder. That is actually fucking brilliant to be fair.

Ok i finally figured out what is so magical about this to me. it's a perfect full circle. here we have Steven Crowder, self-professed debatelord champion of intellect and courage, challenging Ethan Klein, a much smaller RU-vidr, who Crowder expected to dunk on. Crowder, revealing that he doesnt see himself winning debates with larger or more prepared opponents, also lets loose that he hatewatches Seder's show to keep an eye out and ensure he doesnt get ambushed during live performances. so here we have Crowder underestimating someone who he thought was his intellectual inferior, only to have Klein make the smartest play in the handbook: he recognizes himself in Crowder's expectation, and decides to flip the script. in a genius move, Klein tags Seder in, and Seder, being Crowder's worst nightmare, COMPLETELY ruins Crowder's posture. completely taken aback, literally shaking in fear, and having factually pooped himself at his desk, they are forced to cut the camera as Crowder changes his pants. Crowder the debatelord champion of intellect and courage is rendered an incoherent cowardly child at the mere appearance of Seder, and Klein is privileged with not only footage from his 'debate' but also gets to come off smelling like roses. a note to all would-be debate-lords: learn to take an L with dignity or i'll comment about you pooping your pants in the comments of RU-vid videos. you have been warned.
