I came from sports bikes to an AT and it’s hands down the most fun I’ve had on a bike. The torque, the noise, the riding position, to me, it’s the perfect bike. 👍🏻
What an awesome ride! And Gran Canaria is so beautiful. You're right that the Africa Twin sounds great out of the box. I hope it wasn't too scary to get back on one after your crash a few years ago.

To this day the sound of the AT turns my head evertime one passes by - it's pretty much how you would want a big two zylinder to sound. And if it was up to me, you'd have your own place on Gran Canaria by now - guess I need to call in some favours from my 1M closest friends :)

Man you nail these corners! It's always fun seeing you ride like it's nothing! I had an accident 2 weeks ago with my CB500X, got messed up with my gf on a oil patch and now I'm afraid of the corners, but I guess time help get over it.

Wonderful sound. I have a AT standard 2018, and I think the sound is even a litle better (Euro 4). With the stock exhaust, I don't know no better music! Magical indeed ✌
I love you and your content therefore with all due respect do I say this: Do not do this with when another person's life depends solely on your decisions. YOU, do not need to be at fault on the road to be part of an accident. YOU cannot control everything, there are other members of the traffic on the road and it's enough if one of them checks his/her phone at the wrong time. While it is irresponsible to ride like this on your own, it is almost criminal to do this with someone else behind you who are solely exposed to dangers beyond their control. ESPECIALLY when that person is your other half. Please don't do this. Please. All the haters can tell me off now, but I had to get this off my chest. All of you know.
She and I accept the risks of accidents at any time. Me riding at my absolute comfort zone doesn't raise any more risk than any other bike ride we attend together. My girlfriend fortunately is a mature enough person and able to make her own decisions.

Der 1100er Reihenzweizylinder klingt wirklich fantastisch, ein SC Project Auspuff gibt dem ganzen noch eine schöne kernige Note 👌 Die AT Adventure Sports ist für mich die gefälligste Reiseenduro überhaupt.
Optisch find ich sie ebenfalls absolut traumhaft. Und die AS hat ein elektronisches Fahrwerk, das wirklich zu den besten gehört. Leider nur ist bei den alten Modellen (bis 2022,glaub ich) das Windschild in einer bescheuerten Position befestigt. Bei meiner Körpergröße ist die obere Kante exakt auf Augenhöhe. Das würde ich auf Dauer nicht aushalten wollen

Bin ich total bei dir. Hatte sie für ein paar Tage im Dezember. Will sie im Frühjahr nochmal ausgiebiger bei besseren Aussenbedingungen testen. Hatte sie mit DCT und der Ersteindruck hat mich sehr begeistert.

I have nevr tried a motorcycle with 21 inch front wheel and always have doubts about cornering, but you make it look efortless. Would love to see another point of view while you ride it, just to get a better feeling of the leaning angle. Great video, great sceenery and great riding! Safe travels!
Music to my biking ears! Thanks for the quality production, amigo. If possible, do try a Royal Enfield Himalayan. It's not the fastest or the meanest bike but the engine has great character.
What GoPro settings are you using? I just bought one and I got no clue where to start and your videos look 10/10 really. Also, do you use chest mount or you mount it somehow different?

Great exhaust, hopefully wasn't too loud in person! Did you ever change your mind on favorite adv/sport tourer? I remember a while back it was the multistrada and r1250rs.
The sound in person is not annoying at all! It's really enjoyable actually! Nowadays my favourite for the road is still the 950 Multistrada, for mixed I think I'd take an 890 ADV and for mostly offroad clearly the Tenere
Hi Schaaf. Thanks for showing us how much fun it could be there, if there were no speed limits and no forbidden overtaking zones. I'm not criticizing, I don' think you rode dangerously, I just say that obeying traffic rules there would turn this ride form awesome to tedious and annoying, except for the scenery, to the point I'd probably prefer to be in a car, or maybe on a 50cc scooter. That's how things are today... At least they have not banned bikes altogether on mountain roads there, like they do more and more in Germany. BTW, speed traps by drones?!?
Speed limits often are great ideas. Especially to slow people down before crossings or dangerous locations. But most of the Spanish ones don't seem to make a lot of sense. Often you'd be allowed to do 90 with houses left and right while on any twisty mountain road they'll ask you to do 40 ALL THE TIME. Which obviously nobody does. Even the police cars on that island refuse to go that slow. If more people followed my example and slowed down in places where it makes sense (even if the law doesn't ask them to) and sticked to speeding only in places where no innocent bystanders can get hurt, I'm pretty sure we'd have less accidents. At least accidents with other people involved.
I can almost smell the island. 😊 Remembering riding on GC winter 2021 on the Versys 650 with open helmet…this smell…the roads, the sun… the island looks so green this year, did it rain a lot?!
Nice video. I have this motorbike since 2021. The sound si one of the best stock sound for me, and the motorbike feels like a bike in narrow roads. Did you feel engine vibrations in any range of rpm? Did the tall windscreen disturb your line vision? Thanks for this video. I was waiting It for a long time 😂
Indeed the wind screen is super annoying for someone my size (184cm). Its upper edge is exactly in my line of sight. But the vibrations were never annoying, more satisfying

It’s an lcd speedometer that shows all the necessary info (speed, gear, riding mode etc) when you use the main screen for iPhone CarPlay or Android Auto.
Main question: is it fun to ride? Or is it too sluggish compared to the competition? I think it costs the same as a multistrada V2s. Similar features too. Worth the money?
yes since the handling is incredibly easy!! But on the road I'd still prefer the smaller Multistrada because it's lighter and has a 19 inch front wheel
Couple of thoughts. My mates Paginale spends more time at the dealership. So, if you don’t want to be stranded, I’d take the Honda. If your taking them as intended, a bit of off road, both are awkward to check the air filter, but the Multistrada’s filter is under the bloody tank, so when going through dusty terrain on a long trip, it’s a stupid position to have it.
