Robert DeLeo's music to the song originally had a bossa nova beat to it. You kind of still can hear it in the finished product. As for the vocals, Scott Weiland was amazing. Supposedly, when STP recorded this, Scott nailed the vocals in one take.
i was scrolling through reacts for some of my favorites, and just now seeing that this is a brand new video. thanks so much for reacting to this one, i always love your takes on good songs. have a good rest of the may month!
If I was your neighbor I would definitely knock on your door and tell you turn it up all the way and put it on Repeat all day. This jam is a vibe, an experience, it's everything!!!!❤❤❤❤
Purple is their best album hands down, core has so many hits and their defined grunge sound, tiny music isn’t far behind both with very experimental tracks. STP for life
I knew it had to be chosen by PNCombies. Another great pick.😀When I was gigging, I always enjoyed playing "Interstate Love Song" by STP. Thanks again PNCombies and Harri. 👍
This is a killer hit from their second big album, but they lit up the world with their debut of "Core". That album was hard to hate. That's a weird statement, but I was camping with my family when a bunch of kids partying rolled up a few hundred yards away and partied all night long blaring the STP album Core at top volume on repeat.... What are you gonna say, "stop playing that awesome music"? Obviously, we didn't suffer too much and still loved the album when we resumed our travels.
just a tortured life he led, his voice had so much to offer and sadly gone way too soon RIP SCOTT we are still listening to you and STP ! I never wanted this song to end LOVE IT !
@@pncombies Hey no problem Neal, you can thank my Mom and Dad for my manners,I try to practice what most baby boomers were taught back then, just because times have changed, what you have learned and do always reflect on your upbringing, best to you also brother!
Grunge was the house music of Seattle. STP hailed from the other end of the pacific coast ( San Diego) The purists up there wrinkled their noses and dismissed STP as a Pearl Jam copy. Nonsense. STP was one of the defining bands of the genre.
Luv stp. R.i.p. Scott who was great vocalist. Sour girl is also great track to check out. Their first album core which launched them has great songs on it to check out as well
I used to listen to music from the '60s and' 70s as a teenager, but then Grunge and Brit-pop came along, and they conquered the whole world, could I then remain indifferent? Lots of ' 90s Music diamonds waiting for you Harri to pick them up.
Scott Weiland died on December 3, 2015 of a drug overdose. He was such an amazing singer. Be it on STP, or Velvet Revolver. It's horrible his demons got the best of him.
