The research methodology in India and many other countries is so obsolete that many Ph. Ds or so called scholars in many different subjects beside Islamic theology are not capable of understanding the approach and outcome. I experience this in chemical engineering field, as many gold medalists with whom I frequently interact and during discussions on modern research, it is all Greek and Latin for them. Similarly your Yale background for research in Islamic theology might be not going down the throat of present days scholars hence the disagreement. You please continue as usual as millions of people are benefitting with your work, and I sincerely pray to Allah S.W.T for your health, long life and best of the ajar in this duniya and aakhirah, Ameen. Your Prophet pbuh seerath or seerah lectures change my life and I hope your new series will add in bringing further positive change in people's life.

Corona year 2020 for me came as a blessing in the sense that I worked from home and whilst working I listened to all the series from the beloved sheikh, starting from the seerah, lives of the khulafa, signs day of judgement, the day of judgement, jannah and jahanam and now another beautifull topic. May allah grant you jannatal firdaus. Subhanallah, so much knowledge I gained in 1 year

I felt Sh Yasir Qadhi's expert is in retelling the stories and drawing beneficial gems out of it - just like what he did with Seerah of Prophet Muhammad saw and multiple anecdotes of WW1, Napoleon etc. And I expect this particular series will reach a new level. Insya Allah

In the intro shaykh said: The prophets came to teach the knowledge that one's intellect cannot definitively arrive at. Allah sent Prophets to guide us to where the domain of our intellect cannot, the knowledge of the purpose of our lives and what is going to happen after our death, that knowledge is infinitely more important than all the knowledge of this world and that knowledge is not available to us by the means and mechanisms of our intellect without divine aid. Unaided, our knowledge/intellect will not take us to why we are here, Who created us, the purpose of our existence, how we should live our lives and what is going to happen after death. That is why Allah SWT through His mercy, because He is the Hadi, the Noor and the Kareem, because Allah AZW, the Rahman and the Raheem, He didn't create us and let us be. It is part and parcel of Allah's manifestation of who He is, He sent Prophets to us. The purpose of the prophets, Allah says in Surah Shura verse 52.
I would argue at 5:20, ancient arabs know what was a prophet atleast those who studied for example we have statements from sahaba that Abu jahl knew that the prophet Muhammad pbuh was a true prophet but he did not acknowledged it because he wanted the prophet to be from his clan so he knew what a prophet was but because the last prophet they had was Ishmael a long long time ago so the majority of Arabs didn't knew what was a prophet
You are correct to state that there were individuals who believed in prophets, but the concept of prophethood was not known to the Arab society at that time.
Shaykh you are wrong historically about the lack of pre abrahamic prophets. The ancients had and believed in prophets..Mani of Manichaeism ...buddha...Rama..Ashur..vishnu..Marduk..Hyke..The list is very long. They were seen as prophets and acted as prophets. There were also prophetess and they are also mentioned on clay tablets going back more than 3000 to 5000 years.
