Such a versatile artist. Waxweazle, Stargate, Bushwankaz, The Headbanger and Jones & Stephenson to name a few. Also he started the 3 steps ahead project with PPP. And a really nice down to earth guy. Do not underestimate his knowledge making music and certainly not the technical knowledge of music production. Hats off for Mr Fabrie!
I admit I had forgot about Rob Fabrie😪🙄 Thank you Muzikxpress and Rob sir😄🙌🏻🤩🕺🕺🕺for this amazing interview 🤩😄🙌🏻⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I used to hear roll the drumz everyday back in those days🤣🤣🤣👍those were good days🤣🙌🏻😄thank you very much 😇👍
What a Nice guy rob is. I know the tracks he made as holy noise, waxweazle, headbanger and alienator. Didnt know he is such a succesfull and respected producer in other styles then hardcore.
It's so weird. When I was young, you guys were GODS. I looked up to all you guys and now, I just respect you being a normal guy and talking with such enthusiasm about your music. Really great stuff these interviews!
Fascinating interview Twan, thanks mate. Rob is a real legend, I never realised he was part of Mindwalkers, I have those 2 10" vinyls on Massive Drive Gold too, funny that it was him & Critical Mass :D The fact that Rob has had so many projects on so many genres that have been successful just shows how talented he is, and such a down to earth guy too!
I love these backstories to such big classics, Rob seems such a nice guy. Mega talent who's given so much to dance music. To have made an impact on early rave, the 90's happy/gabber years and also trance, wow. Cheers Twan, nice work!
Short interview, is what I thought. Then I saw it isn’t short at all. The whole history of dance music came along, which made me forget time. A good sense of humor too. Thanks Twan and Rob!
Such a brilliant interview as usual with such a legend from the oldskool to the hardcore and terror and rob is such a nice person to i enjoyed that i still love the holy noise tracks and of cause waxweazle and headbanger
Peter Slaghius (also known at "Hithouse") R.I.P. Hardcore Power Forever!!!
I completely agree. 'The Noise' is the best Holy Noise track, and Enter The Darkness their best EP. Although i really love their album ''Organoised Crime'' from front to back since the early 90's. I am sad that the group split so quick and stop releasing brilliant Belgian techno hardcore like in 1991, and they got into awful gabber, but i guess they involved with the times, as Belgian techno didn't exist from 1992 and after. But i'm still glad that we have what we have from them, even for a small period of time.
Such a versatile music maker, the hithouse stuff was awesome,I remember it around the early start of the uk hardcore/techno scene , along with R&S Record's that were getting released over here, good music to this day, iconic and very well produced ❤❤❤ thanks for the fun memories dude , I still listen to that music 30 years later 👍
First Heard this track on A DJ Producer mix Universe 1992, does anyone know if it is the same track/version used in that mix?, it sound different when cued in at the beginning
Twan, weer een mooi interview! The Holy Noise heeft echt hele mooie dingen gemaakt.
Rob problably made Hardstyle instead of Hard House/Nu-Nrg. It's totally a different genre. Listen to artists like Tony de Vit, Paul King, Steve Thomas, Pete Wardman, Ian M, The Tidy Boys, BK, Baby Doc, Dave Owens, Adam M, Captain Tinrib, DJ Karim, RR Fierce, OD404, Jon Doe, DJ Choci, Jon The Dentist, Nik Denton, Nick Sentience, Commander Tom, Frank Farrell, Andy Farley, Dave Randall, Ben Stevens, Paul Glazby, Mark Kavanagh et cetera for Hard House & Nu-Nrg. Great channel by the way!
Thanks Karsten! And I know the difference between those genres, but when I said he did hard house, I'm talking about his tracks “Bushwankaz - Work That Ass”, “Fab Flavour - Burning Like Fire”, “Cool Shrankaz - Dirty” and “Rob Fabrie - Make Some Noise” for example ;-)
@@karstenvangijzen5117 Ah but I think it is safe to say (without wanting to sound cocky hehe) that I do know what I'm talking about ;-) I always make sure to do research for my interviews. In the time when I was still doing local radio we did play several of Rob's tracks (in all kinds of genres) as well. I'm one of those nerds that always used to check for the credits on the vinyl / CD covers to see who made the tracks :D
