Fantastic interview! The chemistry between these two guys is electric! So many classics, so many projects, but to me, these two will always be The Space Brothers.

I'm sure like myself, many others have shed a tear or two to 'Love Shines Through' over the years. An absolute anthem. Such a powerful track...packed full of emotion. The vocal, the bass line, that lead melody....an 8 minute slice of perfection. Possibly my favourite vocal Trance Classic of all. Another great one Twan, and I loved how light-hearted and fun Stephen and Ricky made the interview. It certainly made it all the more enjoyable to watch :) Looking forward to part two and three. ~Daz

Love shines through has to be one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard ♥️ I first heard it age 14. This track & humates love stimulation always get the hairs on end. Beautiful.
It’s amazing listening to this in their words, especially the part of the hard part of the track, that bassline to me always sounded like a "hard house driving bassline" made to match the tempo of trance and vocal it was so well crafted, this tune is something else really, it’s probably the classic definition of vocal trance that carries strange emotional energy.
Thank you for another great interview! It's good to know what equipment that they used during the production of this track. Roland Jupiter 6 was produced in 1983, Novation Supernova comes from 1998. And at the end they produced and mixed the track in Cubase. I hope I'm not imposing but I wanted to ask if you are planning a trip to Germany to interview the local music producers? One of my favorite artists in the previous decade was DJ Shog and it would be great if you were able to interview him and ask him about the process of producing his biggest hit Another World. But if you're not planning a visit to Germany, that's okay. Keep doing what you do. I think you are the only person on RU-vid who interviews electronic music producers and asks about the process of electronic music production. This deserves to respect!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you like the interviews, always good to see (detailed) positive feedback about the interviews! And yes, a trip to Germany is definitely something I have in mind. But most likely not anytime soon, since I still have 9 vlogs to edit and post from my London trip. I did 3 others here in The Netherlands as well and the Amsterdam Dance Event is coming up next month as well, so I hope to record at least 3 or 4 new interviews as well. Plus since advertising revenue here is almost nothing, I am dependent on donations from people, to cover at least a bit of my travel costs. The plan I have for 2020 is to visit some people that live in / around Frankfurt, so I really hope to make this happen. Fingers crossed! ;-)
One of the most beautiful songs ever written in my opinion. Love these guys - space brothers, chakra etc the backing music to my youth. Love shines through still stirs such strong emotions 20 years later.

Great interview. Very detailed. Probably the most detailed one lately. I was amazed by Stephen's memory about the production process of Love Shines Through from back then. I like Kate Cameron's vocals. She has a soothing voice. She would sound good if she were to sing a Bond movie song. I remember Bizarre, Inc from the nineties. These guys are fun. Hope to hear new stuff from them.

Totally agree, I partied around this time and it was never massive. Remember having it on an euphoria album. Stumbled across it again years later and absolutely cain it in my mix sets now. Beautiful track.

John O'Callaghan played this at Cream Amnesia in 2016...funnily enough his last ever show in there (I think). Unreal night. Basically played a classics set.

Great interview! Such good energy from those two! They are spot on about this track getting better with age. It has a nostalgia thing about it now. I wish they mentioned where they got those gated choir type sounds from. Probably some rompler of the era I guess!
Amazing interview - these guys are really top of their game. Although I love the space brothers stuff the most, just wish I knew what synth they used for the lead sound in “forgiven”
I revisited this clip after the interview released today about the Lustral-track. The reason why Simmonds & Jones are somewhat laughing over the fact that Matt Darey said that he really liked the track is that Darey used their words for the hook of his song "Beautiful". Which is why Simmonds & Jones are credited as writers on that record.
Awesome interview! Didn't know Vernon - Vernon's Wonderland riff has inspired them, love that tune! Also I knew they were heavily inspired by Paul Oakenfold's Goa mix, as they even started their set last year at Lumi with the same track Paul has started the mix - Grace - Skin On Skin (Orange Mix)! What a moment it was😍 Hope to see some more talks with The Space Brothers about their other stuff :)
