What is your favorite track by The Space Brothers? BTW, Also make sure to check out my other interviews with the guys, in which we discuss 2 of their other big classics; The story behind "Chakra - Love Shines Through"; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fcU0yUIos1A.html The story behind "Lustral - Everytime"; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qi3vOcrTQ44.html
I've always thought Heaven will come is my favourite, but I also like The Space Brothers - This Is Love (Sagitaire mix) as its only on the DMC label, cost me a fortune and is a great tune
Everywhere I go - in the PVD Dub Version, but of course the original of Shine is still outstanding and the best (but I didnt know that it was by them ;-))
Shine and forgiven I still get hairs and shivers through my body when I hear these classics tunes 👌 🙌 🎶 Bonkers in hope Street glasgow downstairs absolutely rocked this tuneage 👍
All the SB stuff have a really strong hook in,Shine being no exception,it comes in under the chorus.Absolutely brilliant tune. The vocals are outstanding aswell. I also get the goosebumps,I've been overdosing on SB nostalgia for the last hour!
M8 Floozys and Bonkers 1996/1997 I remember this hole in one, bedrock (for what you dream of) porn kings, nylon moon, techno cat (tom wilson) six by six (tall paul) amongst a few more, I was there mate 🫡
Well, Shine and Forgiven are the two classic dance tracks that will never, ever age! They're absolute classics, and these guys are in my opinion absolute legends! Saw then live at Baby Gatecrasher a couple of years ago and they were amazing!
I still play this track. One of my favorite tracks from these guys. They do act like brothers, such characters 😆. And now to go back and listen to it. Thanks for saving the best for last Twan. ☺️🔊Boom!!
muzikxpress absolutely, I hope these artists start getting more serious about digging memory lane like these two cool people. So much fun watching them.
Astonishing music producers with astonishing singers and such a good taste sound ! It's so sad that the singer, Erin Lordan, from the song “For a Lifetime“ died of cancer in 2005 with the age of 41. God bless her. It's one of my favourite songs of “Interpretations“ and one of the best songs of its genre. Chapeau !
These guys are behind so many classic tracks, mind is blown. They were behind "ascension - someone" too? What a banger that is. Lustral - everytime is another belter, though I have to say it's the Nalin & Kane mix that I prefer. Classic.
I love these guys - they’re so interesting. Especially nice to hear of the origins of certain songs that were founded in real-life emotional experiences. Thanks for another great interview Twan and Happy Christmas.
The trance channeler was bang on with her messages! Their music has definitely made an impact in people's lives. Love this song so much. It's one of the tracks that really captures the very best trance sound of the 90s and has aged so well! Both these guys are so interesting to listen to Very good interview! 👍
This is one of my favourite ever trance tracks. It reminds me of my university days. I first heard it on an Oakenfold Essential Mix on Radio One. Happy times!
I saw these guys live at Gatecrashers 25th anniversary last year, they played an amazing classics set which saved the night from what was otherwise a badly run event. Thanks for another great interview Twan
@@muzikxpress your welcome keep up the great work you do in these interviews.. only just found out what record was called..back in the day it was on a mix cd or tape. Gonna have to listen to more of there tunes I think
Wow! Great interview. Didn't know these guys were the creators of so many tracks I enjoy. Cool and funny guys too. Thank you for your creations. Nurse!! Haha
Well I'll be dipped in shit! I never knew all those records were related, so to speak. I remember going to my local record shop in maybe '99, when there was a new space brother tune in you didn't even have to listen to it in the shop, you just knew it was gonna be amazing.
I love them all. Make me so happy and so powerful. When I start creating music they will be a big influence. Lustral is my fave of all tracks its golden and so powerful. Love you guys thank you 🙏 🔆 💚 🙌 💟 🔮
@@muzikxpress yes thank you very much. I'll take a look see, I'm subscribed now 🙏 🔮 😌 Music is the closest we can be when it comes to god source. Except to be of pure holy unconditional love. Happy new year many blessing 💚
I remember hearing this track but memories just popped up after this interview 🤩👍yeah it was a massive track( I got a cassette from my big bro,it was there ,year was 1997 or 1998) but that remix was awesome..thank you for this wonderful interview 🤩🙌😇🕺both Space brothers and twan🤩🙌yeah Merry Christmas to U and UR Family 🕺🎊🎄🎉🙌🤩
Shine was the 2nd dance song which I bought. It's what got me into DJing, especially as Shine and Forgiven are at the same BMP :) I remember mixing them without doing any work and thinking "I'M A DJ!" haha. Took a few months to actually mix properly. I miss AudioJelly. It's the only place I could get Miro - By your side (rolled mix). Sent them an email thanking them as I completed my collection (at the time) and Stephen wrote back thanking me for my support. Man it made my year!
beautiful track and great interview as always Twan :) I do have a small incident that happened at Dreamstate this year, my bf overheard a conversation between two guys, while the Space Brothers were playing their set: “Hey do you know who’s playing right now?”... “It’s Cosmic Gate man” 🤣
I had so much fun , watching this Q&A with these masters! it's really quite something, if you know the story behind some masterpieces such as Shine!!! love it , great job Twan
amazing job!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻the space bros are my all-time trance idols and i have never seen them being interviewed before!! back in the day, they were quite an elusive pair, no pics, no interviews, nothing!! (even on their own website, there was no one single pic of them!) so thx a million for this long interview, you really made my day!! ❤️ and do you know you’re interviewing my favourite trance producers from around the world ?? carlo resoort from holland, mike from belgium and now the space bros from the uk!!! 😉
Thanks so much! I met Steve at the Luminosity Beach Festival when they did a DJ gig there (first one since ages!). Since then we kept in touch so when I was going to London to see some friends, I managed to plan some interviews on the days my friends were working. The 3 interviews I did with these guys were my favorites, so much fun! I hope we're able to travel again in the near future. Once I get enough donations / funds, I would love to go back for at least one or 2 more interviews with them (and hopefully some other London based legends hehe).
They had so many different projects back then, crazy hehe! Actually, after the interviews with the guys were done, I found out Steve did "Hi-Lux - Feel It" as well back in 1995!
Wicked loved Shine a great tune! also Audiojelly was a good site, I got into the top 20 with one of my tracks in the breaks genre. Shame it went kaput and I never got my sales money but even so it was a cool little site.
Damn still searching for a remix of "One More Chance" that seems impossible to find. Heard it in the beginning of 2000. Cant find it anywhere.. :/ Anyone can help?
