The lessons of Ace Combat’s story is that single or small groups of pilots have a startling tendency to influence the outcomes of major wars, and Belka Did Nothing Wrong.
Nuggets, leave your questions about Ace Combat 7 in the comments so I can answer them together with the other Ace Combat veterans. FYI: I will make the second part of the video once we get the release date trailer just so that I have more information to make the video. Part two will include everything we know about the story of Ace Combat 7 (prior to the game's release) and my theories on the story.
There is three things being part of Everything: -Guys with Bretagne and Algeria Flag in events. -A racist uncle in family dinner. -Belkans... Just... Everywhere! Reject humanity, return to Belka
You're a huge nerd and I love that, you seem very passionate about the lore and I was looking for this kind of content after playing AC7 to understand better everything I just went through. Nice content, will definitely check your channel! Greetings from Mexico!
11:58 this thing is referenced in the opening cutscene of AC7 and as someone who's ONLY played AC7 i probably am more excited about this than any of you combined
I'm surprised you didn't include anything on Ace Combat 2, specifically the 3DS remake. Iirc it's still light on story, but they have some info on certain countries in Usea wanting to form an alliance with Osea. That triggers the first Usean Continental War.
So glad I stumbled upon your video to help me catch up on the story. I just started Ace Combat 7, which is my first one in the series, and was left wanting to know a bit more lore before continuing. This was a fun watch. Thanks!
Watching all this footage from all the previous Ace Combats brings a tear to my eye as to how awesome this series is. Here's to hoping that Ace Combat 7 lives up to the epicness of the PS2 trilogy and that the rumor of the trilogy remaster is true.
I was really hoping he would mention or at least put the scene with the (bloody late) backup fighters flying over the stadium. The feelings.... I was so angry and sad at the same time.
Woah, thanks a lot for taking the time making such an informative video! I've only played Ace Combat 5, but lately I've been hungering for a new Dogfighting game and this cought my eye! Thanks again!
Thanks so much for this video! I've only ever played Ace Combat 4 and 6 so the way you did this video in a humorous yet informative way was really appreciated!
Even though Ace Combat has always been a mix between flight simulation and arcade, it would still be very nice for the developers to have a game mode where players can control tankers and earn points for their team by giving other players in-flight refueling, or other players playing as bombers that attack the enemy team’s NPC ground forces. A game mode that involves large-scale combined arms combat that requires teamwork while still maintaining the classic air-to-air and air-to-ground combat would be phenomenal for Ace Combat.
Ive only started streaming Ace Combat 7 very recently, and I'm so happy I found this channel! The enthusiasm my mans here has for the game is contagious
Dude you are awesome! great video! I've played these games long ago this is just what I needed while I wait for AC7. Also that flamenco music in that final duel between Cipher and Pixy SO fcking epic! It's always been my favorite final boss music and now that you reminded me of it I so hyped.
Nicely done! Even though I played these back in childhood and replaying the game at some point of time until pretty much recently, I still learned a thing or two after watching your video, keep up the good work!
Not mentioning the First Usean Continental War? I can't be the only one hoping it comes up in AC7's story, right? The whole retcon proves anti-Osean sentiment exists across Usea. They had numerous mentions of it in Infinity, so maybe they remembered when they wrote the story for 7?
Trainalf I assume that's not mentioned maybe because not many played Assault Horizon Legacy, and he didn't mention it here because it's a secondary, not a main title. Still, I think the 1st UCW would be referenced in 7, how much I don't know.
Love your energy and enthusiasm. Dig the flight suit! Keep it up, man. Ace Combat deserves the love. 'Metal gear solid but with jets' but without the same recognition. Underrated!
X-02 Wyvern from AC04, ADF-01 Falken from AC5, ADFX-01/02 Morgan from Zero, CFA-44 from AC6, XFA-33 Fenrir or just Fenrir from ACX, GAF-1 Varcolac from ACJA or ACX2. And ADA-01A Adler designed for AC5, but cancelled if I remember right. And there is plenty of fictional aircraft in AC3 (X-49, R-101 Delphinus and many others) and in PSP AC titles (ACX and ACJA/ACX2). Also there is ASF-X Shinden II.
One of the small things that may go unnoticed that I figured out by playing all these games is that (maybe unintentionally) the passenger jet that is saved in Ace Combat 4 had a "Captain Nagase" and is believed that the heroism of Mobius swayed her career to join the air force instead.
Actually there are two Kei Nagase in the Ace Combat universe. No one is able to confirm if it's the same person, even though they look extremely alike. One is a teammate you can chose as Scarface 2 in Ace Combat 2. After the events of AC2 that Kei Nagase retired from the military and flew commercial instead. The second Kei Nagase is the wingman you have in AC5, Edge. it's also rumored she'll appear in AC7.
in the main series there are actually three: the other one is a Ouroboros member in AC3. She's also in the KIA list in one of the cutscene, if I remember correctly.
@@Ty27Sp my god, didn't know there was that many. So many Nagases lmao, wonder if the character(s) are a reference or an hommage to someone. It would give the name a reason to pop up so often
Nagase is a 'mascot' for Namco's old Ridge Racer series of racing games. Although that one is 'Reiko Nagase.' When they came up with the Ace Combat series they decided to guest star a 'Nagase' mascot who eventually turned into a series mainstay/in-joke.... That is the various Kei Nagase's from the Ace Combat Strangereal timeline.
@@Krescentwolf She's like Link, only she gets reincarnated every half-decade or so instead of every other century so she could maybe get away with some serious Life Insurance Fraud. Maybe that's why she joined the military.
Great job on this video. Ace combat 5 is my favorite. I have beaten every Ace combat game on the hardest difficulty setting. It's the only serries that I loved enough to put in that much effort.
AC5, the unsung war had the most epic intro of all the games, it was beautifully cut and had only puddle of mud "blurry" playing over cut scenes and dialogue
I was paying attention to everything you said... the way you explained all 3 AC series were in a humorous way, which in fact encouraged me to watch till the end of the video, and without a boredom AT ALL. Doesn't matter if you have missed an important / slightly important element... it's overall 10/10
Thank you so much for this, my childhood started with hawx as I was a pc gamer. Ace combat 7 looks so intriguing but I didn't know how I'd fit into the story, so I really appreciate this video!
The only one I ever played was ace combat 4, back when I was a child. Watching this really give me the chills. Nice video and looking forward for the new one to come out already
Great job! This video was a lot of fun and a bittersweet walk down memory lane. I've been a huge fan of Ace Combat since AC4 and made the move to XBox just to play AC6. (I'm currently cutting together a video love letter to AC6, which will probably be over 4 1/2 hours long.) Maybe Aces will put out remastered versions of the old games so we can enjoy them once again on the newer consoles.
ACF, play Lethal Skies Elite Pilot for PS2. It was my very first jet fighter combat game. I think you my like it. If not, it could be a second Air Force Delta Strike. But I hope you'll enjoy it
I’m brand new to this channel and have been playin since air combat for the ps1. Its really cool to see this channel because to see someone else excited about these games as much as I am and I totally agree with you about ac6 lol
There are few things in life as enjoyable as watching someone talk about something they love. Great video, can't wait to dive into Ace Combat 7 when it releases for my first intro to the series!!!
Thanks! I just got Ace Combat 7 and I grew up playing Ace Combat 5. I love the series 😊 so I appreciate your video. Ace Combat easily has one of the coolest storylines and soundtracks!
I grew up with and have played every ace combat game, they were always one of my favorite first/ third person fighter games, most of them anyway:). Just came to say how good of a job you did putting this together, it helped me refresh on some of the key points. Cant wait for the second half.
Have played the trilogy a lot in the past, but never really tried to fully follow the story of them all together. Thanks for the comprehensive overview of it. Really looking forward to playing 7 now.
I never played the older AC games, so I never noticed that on the south west end of Belka is the Great Lakes literally copies and pasted. Gotta love those subtle parallels!
To make even better Ace Combat, they should have the option to land and take off the airplane, just like a flight simulator. Also, have the option to free fly around the world, like taking off in California and landing in New York, something like that. it would make everyone go crazy
Indeed. But it's mostly about get the player's right to the story, right to the game and fights. Yeah, perhaps need some more Take-Off starts and landing ends missions.
I now think its a bad idea i played zero after 5. Bacause on one point you on a map that gets reused in 5 (the nuke silo) Also in 5 they always bitch about the war 15 years ago whichi is zero...
Yeah the bitching was annoying. Whenever they asked me to agree with their bitching I always disagreed with them. Which, of course, prompts a condescending remark from them.
I'm probably gonna get AC7 Skies Unknown so I'm here for a refresher. I played AC4 on PS2, and AC6, and AC Assault Horizon. when you started going over AC4 I got really nostalgic. I used to play it all the time. The Stonehenge mission and the end are missions I will always remember.
Assault Horizon is more of.. A test i'd say, bandai wanted to make a more realistic simulation of ace combat, they care more about the gameplay there than the stories and originality, so u can say assault horizon is a standalone game, after they got a lot of bad review from Ace combat veterans they learned their lesson and return to their original style and made infinity and 7 which is a very good decision, we shall see the result in ace combat 7 :)
I used to think I was a huge fan of Ace Combat series. After watching this video, I realised I need to rethink that! Great video with a pretty nice explanation. Liked & Subscribed!
I've been a fan of the AC series since the start! I've played every single game except the psp/ps3 ones but I've already preordered the AC7 game! I loved your documentary - it was a great refresher on the storyline before 7 comes out :)
OK... This was an amazing analysis! Missed many of the AC games because of not being able to keep up with all relevant consoles; but this video has reignited my love for the series. Beforehand; I'd only played AC III Electrosphere after sampling the early PSX games.
Ace Combat Fan Sure. I'll be looking forward to it. Do you think that they will addnew planes like ATD-0/X and ASF-X Shinden? And a new Original Xperimental planes?
Oh God I really needed a refresher for when ace combat 7 comes back. I wish I had my ps2 with all the games again. This is the perfect video to know about 7
+Iqbal Hamdisyah ps2 because It feels more natural to me but which ever you see fit. are you new to Ace Combat? iam a vertan myself of the game series. :)
AC5, ACZ, ACX are the only ones playable in the emulator, AC4 was playable, well... at least if you're fine with all of the cosmetic glitches, and which AC : JA was playable as the other two, it wasn't set in the Strangereal
I have played every Ace Combat since the beginning. Even back when it was called "Air Combat" (in the US at least). Never fully understood the storylines / different nations until watching this video. Many thanks for info dump :) Kudos to you my friend.
Honestly, I’ve never played an AC game, but AC7 looks badass enough that I couldn’t help but want to get into the series. However, I knew there was a lot of lore behind it that I didn’t understand. So this was an extremely helpful video! Really looking forward to getting my first hands-on experience!
You should start with Ace Combat 5 or 4, then play Zero, you can use the PCSX2 1.5 emulator, use this settings ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fv_zb9NLjEY.html to emulate 5 and zero, 4 runs smooth but it has some graphic glitches that the only way to fix then is playing in software mode (you need a good CPU). Now you just need the games or download the ISOs, post here your email if you need help finding the ISOs
I feel like Cipher is just as if not more OP than Mobius one, consider how many aces he bagged in the Belkan War (Belkan air force isn't a joke, many enemies are from named squadrons with their own intros and are actual aces with their own histories) and how much fear he instilled on the enemy forces (Demon Lord of the Round Table).
