The Dunedain received Sauron's eternal hatred after they brought about his defeat in the Battle of the Last Alliance, and Sauron would be hellbent on achieving his vengeance, and he tried he hunt down all of the descendants of Isildur. His servants were a threat to the safety of Aragorn, and so he was hidden in Rivendell and given a false identity. Throughout his early life he would embark on many quests and mingle with various tribes of Men, from the Rohirrim and the Men of Gondor in the West, to the far off lands of Harad in the South and Rhun in the East.
