Adam “Armada “Lindgren was born on March 28, 1993 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Armada was born into a large family, the fifth of ten siblings, and it was through them that he discovered Smash. His older brother, Alexander “Aniolas” Lindgren, took him to a local tournament in 2004, which kicked off his love of competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee.

That was a doubles game, but it was down to 1-stock on each side, so two of the players were out. You can clearly see them sitting there, though, not playing.

@@AHGavInDaUSA as far as I remember, the sniper nickname didn't come up from melee. It kind of just started getting mentiond by casters at melee tournaments. But I wasn't watching a lot of brawl/project/minus coverage back then, so take this with a grain of salt

I honestly think HBox has one of the best storylines in Melee right now. From "always a bridesmaid never a bride" to number one in the world for the first time ever just this year. All the while giving up a bright future in engineering to pursue Melee. You can feel how you want about his playstyle, but his story is so good.

Tselel I use to have a small issue with his playstyle. But now I recognize his GAME PLAY is sick. But he is such a shit person. Oh my Lord. Like him breaking down at Evo. Hugging Zain. Surprise host at super smash con awards. He hogs so much screen time and like refuses to play friendlies so ppl can't play the best puff. Wat human trash.....nice back air tho

He has a niche character and until others figures it out he shouldn't have any obligations to give them anything. It's a COMPETITION, do what's necessary to win. How can you not respect that? (I'm not even a big hbox fan, i'm just sick of the senseless hate)

I commented this elsewhere, but Armada is only melee player to ever 3peat a national and he has done it at two different tournament series. He also won 4 Smash Summits in a row.

Id like to know more of these players i only know 5 players from the whole community i think one sounded like an asshole because he wanted a private room so he wasnt bothered by the community until his matches i dont even recall his name....... I know close to nothing from all that i will mention now armada, dr pee pee, zero, mango and Mkleo dont even know their real name, nationality or race.....

Alucardjr69 MKLeo is second best in the world at smash 4 and is 16 (new rankings soon so probably 3rd) and ZeRo is the smash 4 god who's been dominant for its entire lifecycle so far. The others are still melee

Watch the smash documentary if you want more insight into Melee, it goes into the older best players and mentions many personalities still around today, I can't help much with Sm4sh except saying tune into some of the tournaments because it's a relatively new game

By relatively new I mean there isn't as much history videos out on it, explaining the big personalities and things of the like. There isn't a way to get into the game and learn the history besides getting involved. There is a lot of stories from melee like the Smash documentary, countless lolm2k stories and things of the like. It's new in the sense that it is not as storied, it doesn't have the same history yet as melee or the SF series in general. The major storylines change from tournament to tournament varying from can Zero take back his throne from X, can MKleo bounce back, will Dabuz make a run again etc. It may also be that the games I come from are all much older in terms of the series trends (LOL, CS, melee etc.) that 3 years is still new for a competitive game for me

I actually didn’t care for this one. Not that we need his personal life story but because of how vague he was, the video spent more time talking about placements at tournaments. This gets boring. “My life was ‘hard’ so I played worse” was the second half of the video. What I did like was his determination to play the best. Not having much money he did everything he could to challenge the best players for a possible once and a life time experience! Cool

I wish I knew of competitive smash sooner. I would have liked to see Armada's rise. I missed so much, but at least I know his history. Truly my favorite melee God/Player.
