We've done the story of Azshara and a lot of you wanted to follow the path of the bomb. This leads us into Ashenvale, an area that belongs to the night elves and has seen quite a lot of conflict over the years. War of the Ancients, War of the Satyr, but far more recently...a war with the Horde. Resources, wood especially, are a necessity for any civilization to thrive and the Horde wants what is sacred to the elves. Ow and we also have furbolgs, demons, satyrs, Elune and a bunch of other stuff... I hope you'll enjoy!

Having played both sides, the storyline of the Horde/Alliance conflict pretty much comes down to the Horde player enabling the Horde push into Ashenvale by cleaning out the first line of defense. After a job well done and Astranaar on the verge of being overrun, the Horde player leaves with the Da Bomb for Stonetalon Mountains. The Allaince lead by their Hero pushes from Darkshore and undoes the Horde efforts, breaking the siege of astranaar, knocking out the Warsong Lumbercamp and then head back to Silverwind Refuge where they learn of Da Bomb. The storyline motive of the Alliance Player chasing after Horde Player continues into Stonetalon where the Horde player after having escorted Da Bomb departs early into Southern Barrens after Garrosh "dismisses" his local commander-in-chief while the Alliance Player (always being a little too late to stop Da Bomb) stays a little longer to dismantle what is left of a leaderless army from below. All-in-all, I would consider Ashenvale to be reset to the pre-war status quo of being hotly contested and Stonetalon falling frimly into Alliance hands (due to the horde misusing their best weapon).

Ever since WoD and Chronicle 2 I've wanted Blizzard to explain that the reason orcs are so obsessed with chopping down forests was because they came from a world where forests would literally kill you (and then zombify you for good measure).

I did Ashenvale in its entirety with the release of the new lvling system and nightbornes, its really a nice zone - not that im surprised, but I dont think I've ever done it ALL. Now my nightborne arcane mage is 110, 964 ilvl and kicking ass :3

I vote for continuing the story by following the bomb, and doing a Stonetalon Mountain video. Then again, I'm biased. I usually follow that quest chain in World of Warcraft, for nothing more than the simple fact that, at the end, it shows just how far Garrosh would fall during Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor expansions.

EquinoxDrake Haven't looked it up, so take this with a grain of salt, but Thunder Lizards and Kodo (both of which are nothing new, they've been in the Barrens since Classic) are very much similar to each other and from what I remember there are several Kodo that actually use magic, especially nature magic (like a Shaman's lightning bolt), so it's not surprising that Brutusk can use lightning.

Thunder lizards shooting lightning has been a thing even since before WoW, meaning W3. I'm not sure what you mean by another pit lord in the Fel scar.

Thanks for the info! I thought Kodos could only Thunder stomp. I was playing through and saw Mannoroth's blades and the monument to Grom were very far apart. For some reason I remember a second Pit Lord that players got to take down. I do not claim anything as fact. :-)

Thanks for the video. 3:12 represents for me all it means to be part of Thrall's new horde. Things like finding redemption, dying with honor. I still remember back in vanilla when my troll hunter entered the throne room and was greeted by Thrall. "Welcome young one have you came to serve the horde ?". I am sad that feeling has vanished in today's horde. In my opinion Blizzard needs a Warcraft 4. New lore, new characters that World of Warcraft can't deliver, in my opinion.

You could do a Dungeon Lore Series. Where you could talk about the lore of each Dungeon Available. Its just an Idea, since sometimes is difficult to understand the lore behind the things thats happenning in a Dungeon. Especially If you didn't play WoW from the beggining or if - like me - you missed a Expansion or two. Think about it with care please. I love your lore videos.

Hey Nobbel, quick question about the video: you said that Thrall and Jaina captured Grom (which I knew), but then you said 'Horde Shaman and Alliance Priest' right after - I always thought it was Jaina that helped Thrall cure Grom, so was that just a mistake on your part, or was there actually a (unnamed?) priest in Jaina's party that did it? I know basically all my Warcraft (RTS) lore from your videos since I never played any of them, so yea, clarification needed :^) Been loving your videos for years now (started back in MoP), and this questing zone series has been great so far, since I never bothered with all the details and backgrounds in their stories, just what I knew from playing through them plenty of times (especially Horde side for Ashenvale for example). Keep it up! :) PS: absolutely follow the story of the bomb, STM has an incredible story, again, especially horde side questing is amazing, with the only real redeeming moment of Garrosh.
