@@JDisclmd Well, that's what you do as an assassin, search for Intel, and illuminate the target. All AC are repetitive in a way. Anyway, but all that is not the point,. The point is for enjoying the storyline, is best to play AC 1 then the Ezio stuff and then ac3. But if is better for you to do that, go ahead. Thanks for sharing that knowledge with me. 🤷♂️
quick summary:- Desmond Miles is held by Abstergo Industries in 2012, a company with hidden evil intent. Desmond is placed in the Animus to explore genetic memories related to the Assassins, particularly Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who lived during the Third Crusade in 1191. Altaïr, a member of the Assassins, violates their creed and is given a chance at redemption by eliminating nine targets across various cities. As Altaïr progresses, he uncovers a conspiracy involving the Templars, a secret society led by Robert de Sable, seeking a powerful artifact known as the Piece of Eden. The story concludes with a twist as Altaïr realizes he was manipulated by his master, leading to a confrontation and the revelation of a larger plot involving the Pieces of Eden.
@@aleksandarandrejevic7649 True. I just liked the whole idea of being an out an out assassin. I feel like if they could've done something with this template but could iron out the repetitiveness.
@@mohammedahmedplaystationem6223 yes they are it's called the ezio collection it comes with assassin's Creed 2, brotherhood, and revelations. Every game after that is also on the PS4 now too
I played this back in the day when it first came out. I was looking forward to playing #2 but high school got in the way and I kind of forgot about it over the years. Now rediscovered it again at 27 and couldn't be more excited to chip away at the series. I remember really enjoying AC1... so, now I'm off to AC2 almost 15 years later :D
@@internet33 oh yeah man, i don't even play games that much anymore. My ps5 mostly collects dust so this week i thought i boot it up and i really felt like trying AC2 as i never finished it (nor 3 when it came out too), and i got that childhood wonder again, even tho some videos have just straight up spoiled it for me lol oh well
Be hopeful brother! I had played AC1 maybe in 6 or 7 years ago. I am also your age and I finished AC2 with 50 hours and anotther 70 hours on brotherhood! Now looking forward to play Revalations! Safety and peace...
I feel like AC1 lowkey has the best story out of every assassins creed game. Altiar is such an interesting character and i love how he went through so much change to become one of the wisest assassins to ever live! I feel like he lowkey should have a sequel made for him, even after all this time
Check out assasins creed bloodlines cutscenes! It’s the PSP game that’s an Altair sequel, takes place weeks right after AC1. The graphics are SHIT but the story’s great. Definitely give it a watch! Especially if you’re an Altair fan like me
About to begin a new playthrough of the entire Assassin's Creed series. I was born in the early 80s, so i loved video games growing up, Atari, NES, SNES, original PS had them all. After high school, I had stopped playing video games altogether, skipped a whole console generation and a half. When I finally settled down with a family, I was at home a lot more, so I got a Xbox 360. Assassin's Creed and Bioshock were my first two purchases, which came at the recommendation of the dude at GameStop. Assassin's Creed was my re-introduction to gaming and it will always hold a spot in my gaming heart (as well as Bioshock... what a way to get back into games!). Great video man
I'm also about to begin a playthrough of the ENTIRE AC series, but AC 1 is actually too dated and actually boring to play. So, I'm just watching this instead.
@@ThePatientWolf So erhm, soon? :D Really fantastic job on this, was pure pleasure to watch. You do you obviously, but god damn, let you do this, was perfect! ^^
Thank you so much for this video. I grew up playing this game and just bought every Assassins Creed game I could for my PS4 today to do a complete play through of. Isn’t it funny that the only one that PlayStation doesn’t give you the option to play is the original game. So coming here and watching this felt like playing it all over again. Thanks! Now I can move on to Assassins Creed II in the Ezio Collection without feeling like I missed anything.
Even to this day I understood this story and LOVED it, it's truly one of my all time favorite Assassin's Creed games, and it was where I started properly. I just feel like this is the best way to explain the story for the first game, and I can't wait to see the rest of the recaps upto AC III. Question though: will you be covering AC Bloodlines for PSP or AC III: Liberation, since they're both Canon games that ties into the mainline titles?
I'm watching this because I played about five hours and found it excruciatingly boring. Go to old man, get new target, go to target city, find target info, kill target, repeat.
@@OddSalesman It actually didn't take that long for me to finish. I just finished the game yesterday and it felt short and that I needed more answers and was like WTF the whole time at the ending. I only ever got to play a bit of Origins and syndicate and Black Flag was the only AC game I ever finished all the way through until now. I'm honestly quite excited to start AC2, heard a LOT of good things about the trilogy like a LOOOOT of good things.
This was perfect 👌 I'm currently playing through all the Assassin's Creeds in order of release and these recaps will be perfect for ensuring I don't miss anything. Completed AC1 again yesterday, AC2 recap next please!
Picking up the AC story where I left off: III and Black Flag! I've played the first four a million times so didn't want to play through the whole things again just for the recap. This video was PERFECT for a recap which this series of game desperately needs to keep its beautiful tapestry of a story fresh for playing new entries. Not only did you recap the story, past and present, so well but it was entertaining and the nostalgia was oozing! It's usually a hassle for me to review old plots but this was a pleasure. All I can say is, I don't think Altair's voice acting was one of this game's strong suits!
Damn this game seems so good, I have completely forgot how it was when I first played it. I wonder why the concept was a little bit changed on further series (no gathering of the intel, etc.)
So professionally done and entertaining! I came for a brief what's what but I truly feel immersed in the lore through your depiction of AC. Great job mate, you've earned a new sub!
Assassin's Creed is one strange game, gameplay's amazing, bugs here and there, but man when it comes to the story you really got to pay attention to what they're talking about. Sometimes an explanation from somebody else makes the difference. Yet when i was playing it, it made sense and this explanation made it a little more clearer. That's.....just me though.
Bro this awesome! So much work put in to this. So well done! Bravo! I see you have been working on this series for 3 years and ur still uploading. You earned yourself a like and a subscribe. Please continue your work!
I recently replayed this game and the graphics hold up fine I think. It's mostly the stiff controls and the extremely repetitive gameplay that feels dated
Great video. As someone who loved the present time story I appreciate this. I'm playing Valhalla right now and it's nice to go back and jog my memory on the lore.
Hey I don’t know if it’s a bit late to comment, but I was recently watching a video while on the treadmill by Darky Talks Games and this video spoke about the psychological process of playing a game you like then putting it down. He came back to a game he played then finished it the next 13 years from when he stopped playing. I thought about assassins creed. This has been the only game I have left and stopped playing. I’m sitting and watching your videos for context on the plot of each one I play, thank you. I look forward to finishing all of the ac games in order. :) what a time to be alive
Thanks for this video, man. My dad recently gave me all of his old Assassins Creed games, didn't have the first one, and said I should just see if I can find a recap instead of buying it. Absolute legend!
Bless you for making this, my man. I just downloaded all the AC games on my PS4 except AC1 and didnt a good recap before I start 2 and this was perfect. Cheers!
Altair's decision not to kill Maria bothers me like crazy. He kills innocent people who "know too much" or "might compromise his mission" CONSTANTLY. But randomly decides that this one is okay to keep alive? It's just so contrived... "No, I will not kill you, you are not my target..." ~~Altair says, a few minutes after killing an innocent man who was forced to the Templar's bidding and was not his target
Same thought that went to my head. I even chased her and was thinking Altair cmon kill her. The only difference this time was that it's a woman. I guess Altair was just the biggest gentleman there is a.k.a simp XD.
Thank you for the explanation. This game doesn't have subtitles and most of the time when they are speaking in the crowd, I couldn't hear a word. The bad side of AC 1 of mine was the glitches. The glitches were so bad, I lost my temper ever now and then. If you want to ask do I felt like an assassin? Yes and no. It was too repetitive. But I finished it and I do like the storyline. Really.
Getting started on my journey in this franchise, so excited! I got this game from GS a few weeks ago but I wasn’t feeling it so I decided to watch this video and turns out it’s an amazing game, can’t wait to experience the rest!
this is really helpful, I barely rememebr everything that was said since I don't play games that often but this video gives me a recap with an explanation that enough for me to understand the plot, I will subscribe
Glad this exists. I started with Oddyssey and Origins and I just bought the Ezio collection (II+RE+BR) on PS4 and since AC1 isn't on ps4, I needed this. Bless you.
This really was a well put together video of the events and story of Assassins Creed!! This compliments a complete playthrough beautifully and makes sense of any plot holes you may have missed. Utterly essential in my opinion and thankyou for making this !
Im currently playing the trilogy for the first time since my first assassin's Creed game was Black Flag and I bought the ezio collection and assassin's Creed 3 remastered also Origins and Odyssey. I'm currently playing them in chronological order I'm almost done with Odyssey and it's Atlantis DLC then I go to Origins then I'll jump to Assassin's Creed II then go from there. Honestly I gave the first game a shot years ago, I remember I played for 2+ hours and I just couldn't get into it. I'm considering skipping this but I'll give it another shot after I play Origins.
Amazing video! I don't know how you managed to put movie-like storytelling elements into a didactic video in order to make it interesting and entertaining at the same time but you nailed it. Great work.
Great recap, very clear and comprehensive. Every other recapper tries to make jokes and skips over what they dont think is as important as them trying to be funny.
Here's a cool Easter egg. Altair Ibn La-Ahad is an Arabic name. In Arabic names "Ibn" means "son of," just like "Mc" in an Irish name. So Altair Ibn La-Ahad means Altair, son of La-Ahad. Further, the name Altair means "Flying Eagle," and La-Ahad means, literally, "no one." So Altair Ibn La-Ahad translates to "Flying Eagle, son of No One." It's actually several Easter eggs in one! I love these old AC games.
Bonus name definitions: Al Mualim literally translates to "The Teacher." Desmond = "Gracious Defender" (Irish origin) Miles = "soldier" or "servant" (German & Irish origin) Majd Addin = "Glory (of) the Creed" Abu'l Nuqoud = "Father of (the) Money" Chances are the majority of names you'll find used for major characters in these old AC games will have some kind of reference in it. It's hard coming up with unique names so I bet Ubisoft named a lot of characters by translating a major character trait into another language. It's a good way to come up with names! That's how I always name my horses in Red Dead Redemption 2. A ton of Latin and Greek words just happen to make exceptional horse names.
I really appreciate this I was going to binge the series and collect trophies for my account, but the first game, unless I get the ps4 version cause I think it had a trophy list, had no trophy list. It made me upset and decided just to get a summary of the first. I appreciate this, with spot on editing and and s wonderful gist of what to gather in the game.
Thanks for this! I just finished my first playthrough of AC2 last night (freakin' amazing!!!) & since I can't play AC on PS4 I wanted to have a full recap before I head into Brotherhood & Revelations. Having only been introduced to Assassin's Creed games with the modern ones (which I also enjoy), I now fully understand WHY fans love the original games so much. I get it 🙂- plus Ezio is incredible! If Mirage can have these older stealth elements, with the smaller maps, etc but with smooth parkour & combat, then Mirage could be a fantastic game!
I played the first game right about the time when it came out. It was my first game on the 360 and i would play it non stop. Anyways, I haven't played any since and I decided to buy all of them recently when they were on sale and I'm using this to recap the first game. This video brought back a lot of nostalgia. Thanks, I'm looking forward to my long journey. Going in my blind and based off what ivee seen I'm most excited for ac2's storyline, black flag, origins and odyssey.
The story of this game is incredible! I just wish Ubisoft would remaster it and add more additional content as well as update the graphics and some of the controls.
