But when he had more money, they pushed her towards him. Nothing but gold diggers. Rita was with him when he had absolutely nothing. That's probably why he never left her. People liked to talk that he would have left rita but he never did. He knew she loved him for him, not for fame. I doubt a president would be happy with his daughter marrying a Jamaican rasta. Do you realise many Jamaicans also look down on rastas and would be against their daughters being with one? It's only outside of Jamaica that people love patois and tastes. He was already married and in our culture it is illegal to have more than one wife 🇯🇲. He wouldn’t marry her because he wouldn’t divorce his wife, but would have kids with her. It’s very common in our culture for Rastafarian and regular Jamaican men to have multiple baby mothers.

If he continued to live, I think Rita would’ve finally left his ass, she stayed for the sake of her children and him financially providing for her. If you read her book, towards the end she started to become more independent which scared him.
