I cried my eyes out when I was in elementary school. Our school computers had Bonzi AND CLIPPY. They popped up everywhere. It was so hard to do work when Clippy popped up when I opened up Microsoft and Bonzi was just...everywhere
I think we're all just so used to living with spyware now. It was a crazy "breach of privacy" in its time, but now spyware is powering my phone's OS (Android).

I had the BonziBuddy almost from the very beginning. The only thing my friends and I used him for, was of course to make him say all kinds of swear words, and dirty sounding sentences. He'd do it too every time. Sometimes u had to spell the words differently to get Bonzi to say them, but was easy enough.
Lmfao, i remember when i was in middle-school, i installed this on ALL the pc's. (We only had desktops back then, this was the early 2000's) The sys-admin at the time was like "Oh no, why..." Yeah, i was a "Shitkid"
Lol, when my and my siblings were kids we used Bonzi Buddy's speech to text program to make him say ridiculous things. Our favorite one was "oh it's the leprechaun he's kind of sexy". When we discovered it was a virus we felt betrayed. But then we just decided it was worth it and moved on.

I live in Africa and as a child I traveled to Canada and my host introduced me to the internet and within about 1 hour I had installed BonziBuddy on their computer
I remember Bonzi and I still today (on an older XP computer) use the Bonzi agent character. Although I have experimente with creating my own agents, and have used other chracters, Bonzi will always be my ultimate favorite character. Thank you for this informative video on him.
