Eternity here. It means a ton to see you cover this whole process from start to finish. It was incredible to experience so many of the brightest oobing minds come together to finally make it to the pools. Watching the escape artists figure this out was so amazing back then, how closely they found drop box and irb together was amazing. im just glad i got funny tank drop during that time lol

as a member of destiny's box breaking community, and someone who has spent more time out of bounds than inbounds in this game i cannot overstate how difficult it is to get to galaxy pools. hats off to you for pushing through and getting there. It was a pleasure seeing you interact in the discord. if there's anywhere else you'd ever want to go I know the community in raid secrets would love to take you there.

The drop box method with sparrows reminds me of the old trick people used in forge for halo for clipping through walls with the ride prompt

The galaxy pools is the GM Island of Destiny. I'm so glad we have something like this, and I can't wait to see if Bungie decides to do anything with it.

After learning about the pools, I spent probably over a year learning all the sparrow and OOB techs I could, and eventually I got good enough at infinite flying to make it there on my own. Really an amazing accomplishment and a beautiful location. Also, funny to see sweat of all people talking about gp. I remember when he couldn't even sparrow fly, now he's going to pools lol.

It’s gonna be such a letdown if we don’t see the galaxy pools used next seasons or in the final shape dlc. It’s such a cool looking area that’s been in game for a while and if it’s just kept as out of bound area that’s such a bummer.

Im a huge fan of watching these guys, and if i dont figure it out myself i always follow their instructions to get to these cool places. I really hope bungie revisits these locations in the future The galaxy pools (or forge) should totally be used for an exotic quest. And the travelers shard i really hope has some sort of post campaign significance for The Final Shape

Ah, the Galaxy Pools, I've sadly failed the Sparrow Fly more times (near the very end of my journey) and gave up after the initial Drop Box was patched, as I didn't have anyone to do Sync Box with. It's still a dream to go there one day.

Looks a lot like the galaxy used in the end-credit scene at the end the Red War campaign just before the pyramid ships were introduced

There was actually another area similar to the galaxy pools in the dreaming city that some of the community have labeled as "the poor mans galaxy pools".

I remember messing around in the area at the end of the First Shadowkeep mission and I managed to get through that Darkness barrier that pushes you back by using my sword, im guessing you can use any sword but i used Black Talon (you can only go through it in the last shadowkeep mission)

I was there last night. Lol. I think it's the original "lighthouse" but for Trials of the Nine in year one. Has that "The Nine" aesthetic to it. Big shootout to Raid Secrets Escape Artists.

I wonder if it's leftover assets from b4 the d2 reboot a year before launch. They may have discovered something from that version of D2 that we never got to see. Or maybe it's just from a scrapped mission, maybe something with the 9. I wonder if there are other things like this in the game no one has found, especially from the other vanilla planets that got taken out.

I REALLY hope someday bungie adds the galaxy pools to a story or season finale. I think it could be a cool place to end the light and darkness saga but I assume they have something different in mind. But if they have a good season or "chapter" planned this could be a good place to end. But it would need to be a GOOD season like Opulence, Chosen, Splicer, Witch, etc... Wish I got to do any of the the year 1-3 stuff. I literally started playing the day after beyond light launched and I had no idea what was going on. I just saw this game I had slightly heard of over a few years was "free" so I downloaded it thinking I would play for a few hours then delete it. Well :checks steam: 4,899 hours of play time later I still havent deleted it. (crazy I have exactly 4899 hours I was going to round up or down if it was a more random number but nope) Anyways it sucks all this content got sunset but I think I started playing destiny just in time to experience some of the best destiny. Season 12 I got my bearing straight and then season 13 and 14 were both insanely good seasons with a decent PvP meta aside from shatterdive.

Fun fact, both sparrows could’ve been yours for Dropbox, the only reason it worked was because you could get the flip sparrow prompt on other peoples sparrows, not that you would get flip sparrow if it was yours
