I'm so glad I found this channel!!! I've been a camera op in live broadcasts for about 5 years now and everything explained in this video was on point! I can't wait to see more in the future
This is especially great to hear as a fellow TV-bod in the industry! Thanks so much and really glad you're enjoying the content! Do stay tuned for more and keen to hear any specific productions you'd like to see!
How in the world does this video have less than 300 views, and you have less than 200 subscribers? Even I have more than that, and I don't even make videos! You're gonna go far, fantastic production quality and I hope you're rewarded with more eyeballs on your work soon!
I'm your new subscriber. The level of professionalism behind your video is absolutely impressive. You talk about everything from graphics to tv production. Among all the music tv shows that exist on this planet, nothing can dethrone an event like Eurovision. Your content is needed. (Yea, you're right, Barbara was perfect with Voilà). 🙂
NPO, NOS and AvroTros aren't actually fully separate. NPO is the Dutch public broadcasting service, while NOS and AvroTros (the last one used to be separate broadcasters) are simply broadcasters using the NPO's services.
Normally I don't care that much about the ESC but those behind the scenes facts and information tidbits make these shows really interesting. Cool video! Edit: Now I know that the current german voice actress for Marge Simpson hosted the 2011 ESC and her singing haunts my ears now. ....Eh, what I actually wanted to add to my comment: Nice editing in this video. Props.
Hahaha yes - she's quite the talent and very funny indeed, and hilarious how a rehearsal clip suddenly went (mini) viral just singing about sand! Thanks so much for your lovely comment, stay tuned for more!
Found your channel through Linus' video and I'm very glad I did. Your videos are so cool! You notice all the cool small little details and its so interesting to see all the behind the scenes pictures and videos. I didn't realize how much effort goes into the show, but this video has made me apriciate it alot more :) keep up the cool videos!
I gotta tell you man this was insanely interesting! I love not only watching the live shows but also what's happening behind the scenes that leads up to those breathtaking moments on screen. I also like the idea of splitting the video into several different parts. I just wish that you had included some links of the sources since you made me curious about some of the videos you've shown. Anyways, great work I hope we will see another documentary for this years contest from you soon. Have a good one!
Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed! There were sooo many sources - all credited in my description - but hopefully that'll be a good start to finding longer vids. And yes, look out for my 2022 coverage coming soon!
I didn’t know too much about Eurovision going in, but think this is a great video! I’m really hopeful that your appearance in Linus’ video will bolster your audience. The production quality is shockingly good to me, have you worked in a similar field before?
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! I was just glad to wax lyrical on design and live events on such an epic channel as Linus's; extra viewers on my content is a welcomed bonus! And if by production quality you mean my video, again thanks so much - I actually do work in TV, but this channel gives me a chance to flex my creative content creation muscle ☺️
Actually, about the stage crew, during the live grand final performance from Greece, the stage crew accidentally broke the led strip, they managed to put it back in place in time but for the whole rest of the show a small part of the led was broken. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VUDg-YyNvw4.html
You'd be surprised how often this question is asked in Eurovision circles haha. Israel is a member of the European Broadcasting Union, and of which the EBU's broadcasting area covers Israel and goes as far afield as Azerbaijan, Morocco (which is in Africa, and participated back in 1980). They've been around since 1973. Australia have been broadcasting Eurovision from as far back as 1983, and were invited as a one-off in 2015 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the contest. Their success saw them be re-invited again the following year. Their participation is temporary and is set to end in 2023. As for America, plans are afoot to have their very own American Song Contest which is set to hit screens in 2022, to much excitement and criticism. The format of the show is very closely guarded by EBU which means many plans aren't always easy to follow through (Eurovision Asia was on track but recently scrapped), except for formats with a similar concept.
