"Sometimes racism has to be put aside, it's not just an indigenous problem, it's a human problem" very true!! These indigenous people are human to, canadians always forget that, how would you feel if you lived in a city that had no access of clean drinking water, Canada and resources would help without question, Canada and politicians need to start working on a faster and better solution fast instead of talking they will help, why is this even a problem when we all know if Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kenora, and Winnipeg had poisonous water Canada and resources will help and action will take place.

I live in Texas. So I have always been fascinated by the maps I have seen of the vast spaces in Canada, of seemingly endless forests with few roads. The pictures I have seen were always beautiful. I found this place cause I came across it on Google Maps, and looked it up on RU-vid expecting to see prestine,sparkling lakes and such. This was heart rending. We have similar situations here in the US. My prayers for these people!

no one should ever have to worry where their next meal comes from, or having acsess to clean drinking water. not only did all the fish die, but now they can't even use the water? unacceptable, the federal government needs to do their job. my heart goes out to all the people effected by this.

I don't even know what to say after seeing this. This situation is so wrong. How has this water not been cleaned up already? How are we not holding those responsible, accountable for this? @JustinTrudeau these people need clean water. It's a basic human right.

I don't feel that JT will do a damn thing about this. I don't know what the process might be to get the methyl merc cleaned up, but its a serious stain on the Canadian flag cause these Canadians don't have clean water. if there was a way of helping clean this up I would like to be on the list. This has been a problem since the 70's and the government still can't seem to figure this out. If the Ottawa water was contaminated the gov would not wait till tomorrow to fix this, they would start today. Perhaps its time that people stepped up

we are an advanced wealthy nation, this is unacceptable :( all residents must have clear, clean water and protection for their home surroundings.

This is Terrible, They should make the Hungry greedy Corporations who cause this contamination to put it right and look after those who are affected. This is a tragedy and someone should be held responsible :( I pray the people get the help they deserve.

As was said in the video its Big industry. When the Treatise were signed the Canadian Government was to give half of the money made from mining etc. to First Nation to live due to these projects happening on Their Treaty Lands. But this has never happened due to greed. White man again has forked tongue. I myself am from an immigrant Mennonite Family who came in the late 1800's.My mother remembers Indian people coming to their farm and given work and food. They lived in harmony as ALL NATIONS should. BIG business only want to rape the land for their share holders and not for the future people of this land. As we watch these videos there isa New storm brewing in the Northern Ontario Region again. The Circle of Fire is about to be put into action. This is mining that will be started and again the water shed is heading to Attiwapiskat First Nation that also has a terrible water issue due to mercury run- off.
