The Story of How I Almost Met My Idols... 

It's 6:52 am, the morning of Christmas Eve, 2021. I've been doing a lot better recently. I'm seeing old friends who've come home from college, spending more time with family, and playing a lot of online chess. I've been thinking about everything I've experienced, learned, and done this past year. It makes me smile. I'm excited to publish this video because I believe it really encapsulates a lot of who I am and how I approach my life today. One of the main elements in my videos that I'm trying to work on is the question of, "how do I make my audience feel something?" How can I show you how I'm feeling without telling you? - whether it be with music, certain shots of me alone, or with a little clue. One of the other most important questions is: How can I find a way to bring you into the story? How can I make you feel emotion when watching? How can I spark a conversation within your mind? A new idea, perspective, approach, or vulnerability that invites you into the story. I really struggled to edit this video and make the story feel real because I didn't film a lot. I had 5 days on my trip, but I only showed you 1 of the mornings. I felt a bit emotionally burnt out and introverted after my month in Montana- I just wanted to experience the drive and beautiful journey down the coast and not have to think about what to say to the camera or how to set up a certain shot. At the same time, I was completely mesmerized by the beauty and wanted to film everything I saw. I captured little moments here and there throughout the trip, but I feel like there were many more stories within this story that I wanted to share. I felt a little bit of guilt while driving because I knew I could be "making more out of this experience" by filming more of it and making it into more videos. But looking back, I made the decision to be fully present in the moment and I'm happy I did that. The trip was for me after all and it was everything I needed and more. I have to be okay with that. It's a difficult balance between what gets to be my life for me and what life I decide to open up and share with the world. I feel a desire to share every story I experience, but I know it's also healthy and important to do things for me and only for me. This trip felt like a healthy compromise of both. Alright wow, time has flown and it's already 7:40. There's more I wanted to dive into, but I think that's a good start for now. I hope you enjoy the video - let me know how it made you feel! When you said “I wish I had someone to share these views with”, I so related to that. I’ve been on multiple solo road tips this past year and I’ve seen some beautiful things along the way. However, I always wished I had like a family member or friend with me to experience the beauty.

I don't know about others, but I for one have no idea what the "Yes House" is or why it is significant. I was also confused as to how you were in L.A. one minute and then it seems back in NC the next. Did you leave your car in L.A. and fly home? I think your videos are among the best on youtube and I love how open and candid you are about everything.

I love how I’m every video he uses like a different like style or concept or whatever to tell a story…I can’t describe it lol. It’s like in this video he used the text to display kind of like what he was thinking and the decisions he was making but with another video he used clips about a Polaroid camera to tell another story…idk what it is but for some reason I love it😂it just pulls the story together

This is the first Christmas that I am home alone, by choice as I have been encouraging my kids to spend Christmas with other family members on Christmas for a few years and this is the year it has happened. After two difficult years for me, this was a nice reflection for Christmas day, I think I will need to watch it again.
